About
The Links of Lake Bernadette enjoys verdant landscaping and a rolling terrain that are perfectly complemented by mature and towering pines. At 6,400 yards, the golf course is seemingly short but it feels like it plays much longer due to frequent doglegs that can be found throughout. Six of the par 4s play over 400 yards and a few par 3s measure over 200 yards, which also helps the course feel longer. Water hazards and bunkers come into play but they are balanced by large greens and wide fairways that make for easier approaches. Although beginners won't feel out of place and there are four different sets of tees, the golf course boasts several tricky holes that will challenge even the best players. One of these, the 163-yard 13th, was once called the best par 3 in Tampa Bay.

Golfer Reviews
Unacceptable
The course is so poorly maintained and it’s unfortunate because it’s a few mins from my house so it’d be great to have a local course that’s good. The greens suck (barring they are new), the fairways are awful, and the course was flooded from the rain a few days ago. They shouldn’t be open much less dare to try charging $45 for 18 during prime time. I was so infuriated I left after hole 3
I hate leaving such a bad review but the course was just in such bad of shape it was hard to enjoy the round. I’m not even sure the course should have been open because of all the water from previous storms that had not drained. The fairways were so muddy, and it was not golf cart path only so the golf cart left bad tire tracks of mud. The greens were basically the same kind of grass on the fairways. And there were some holes that the tee boxes were not even visible or marked. The course has potential, with some holes having good water hazards, or bunkers. But overall, I would not play here again or recommend the course. The staff was not welcoming at all. All the lights were off in the clubhouse and there was just not good vibes.
Worst condition possible
I couldn’t believe how bad the golf course was. We lost balls in the middle of the fairway if you could call them fairways. I used to love Bernie and can’t believe how badly they’ve fallen. I blame golf now also for not warning me about how bad it was.
They were supposed to have new greens, they didn't. There was crabgrass on the greens. The fairways were not mowed to fairway length that were patches where it was 4 in high in a fairway after the mower went over them. Most of the time your ball was sitting down even in the fairway.
What is happening here. I’m
They said they just repaired the greens…if that is considered repaired they need a new staff. There was good grass and other types of weeds on the tee boxes uncut. Hitting a tee shot with you ball at grass level.
Lost more balls in the fairway? How oh because it was 5 ins tall. I will not be returning to this golf course at all total waste of money and I would warn anybody else wanting to play.
Nice place to play... but rough day
Always enjoy the staff and the course. They were just completing green improvement and opening the greens that day. There had been hard rains the day before, so some cart path only holes and higher grass. But I had a reasonable day of golf despite the conditions.

Going Downhill Fast
We have golfed here for years and every time we golf here it is getting worse. There were no heads up on the condition of the course. The course was overly wet and yet the sprinklers were going off even as we were playing. We couldn’t even finish on the green because of that. The dryer parts were not mowed and cart paths were not travel-able due to broken concrete or logs going across them. The clubhouse is slowly rotting away and there is no good upkeep of the bathrooms. We were very disappointed and will not go back. Not even worth the discount from Golf Play membership.
Course under construction
Fine course for practicing long and mid range game, no greens or tee boxes available. Staff admitted that course maintenance is low and under construction. Once this course conditions rebound this will play average to most maintained course in the area.
Horrible experience
the course was not playable at all, not the tees, not the fairways, not the greens.
I don{t understand how can you sell playing time for this course. total waste of time.
Too wet no greens
This is not a golf course right now You set your own tee positions and guess yardage to 18 temp greens to which will be around for a couple more months, the rain has made this a swamp and the equipment can’t be utilised to help this course out.
The owner of the course could run it using 2 employees. 1 to take care of the course (b/c the rain has eliminated all work needed to maintain anything) 1 in pro-shop / kitchen / office. But i don’t know how they can charge more than $10-15 a round. Probably turning ppl away once things dry out.
I play Bloomingdale 2-4 times a week and it is so much better that there is no comparison. It’s like comparing prime rib to Mcdonalds.
Just Dont
The Greens and Tees are closed and the temporary versions of both are in playable.
The entire course is under water and shocking that it’s open. It was only $25 a round but drives in the fairway are plugging 3-4” and unfindable.
The here is no way the course can make enough money to pay for the repair costs of letting carts on the course.
Temporary greens all 18
Course has a fun easy design, nobody else but a couple of players and us, but rough condition and no greens available. If you want to practice long game, it's a good place, if not, just wait till it's overhauled (seems it's happening).
Another Disappointing Golfing Experience
This is the second course in the last three weeks to be "under construction" when we played.
NO real greens and NO real tee boxes.
When golf courses perform annual maintenence why can't they do one nine first and the second nine later instead of ripping up the entire layout?
Overall, it was a most disappointing experience!
The only positives were quick round (2 & 1/2 hours) and inexpensive greens fees -, or should I say "dirt" cheap!
The course is being improved
Important to note that the course is investing on totally new greens so there are temporary greens in play.
There are workers in place doing improvements so it is just a matter of time and we will benefit from a better course.
Tees and greens are closed
If you're paying $20 be aware before you book that both the greens and tees are closed. Temporary tees and in front of the regulars and the temporary flags are before the regular greens, so every hole is 40 - 50 yards shorter than normal. There are no temporary greens, they haven't even mowed around the flags. Is it worth $20? Sure but be aware. I've never played a "leave your putter at home" round before.
Course was in rough shape
The course was supposedly under construction from the looks of it. The grass was not cut, the tee boxes were in rough shape. All around is a good course to practice or for beginners.
Terrible
When I booked the reservation, at now time was it relayed that all of the greens were closed. There were temporary pins placed on the fairways. Tee boxes were closed as well. There were several holes that played 55-66 yards
Terrible Don’t play here
This course was terrible. The greens were not even on the green there weren’t tea boxes on a lot of the holes nor where their markers. Highly Dislike
