Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club
About
Heritage Isles is a scenic course that cut through native cypress heads and natural wetland areas. At 6,976 yards from the tips, it is one of the most demanding public golf courses in the Bay area. While water does come into play on all 18 holes the premium has been put on the short game. With large, meticulously maintained greens, those players who are handy on the putting surface should be able to shave a few strokes off their scores.

Conditions are good
I’ve played this course many times in the past, but not recently until this round. I was very impressed with the overall conditions. The rough is high enough to penalize an off-line shot, but not so high you can’t find the ball. A little course knowledge will go a long way towards posting a good score.
Staff
Tee time was at 11 got there at 10:30. Ranger wanted us to start. Told them I’d like to warm up. So he gave us like 10 min. When we got out there was a twosome two groups ahead of us holding everything up. The ranger was more worried to stay on the cart path. Round took us almost 5 hours. Ridiculous. Course is laid out like a resort course but nice. A couple holes the ground crew was mowing. Normally weee I play if they see you they stop and let you hit. Not here, that was frustrating.
Great day on the links
Heritage Isles is a semi-private track offered at a fair price that’s ALWAYS in great shape from tee to green. Thank you
Horrible pace of play
Took five hours to finish our round, which started just past 11 am. Extremely slow play the whole way having to wait 15-20 minutes after finishing each hole for us to be able to take a swing off the tee boxes. The course ranger was driving by us every couple of holes and said with an attitude to us that the course was completely full... this was around 1-2pm when we finally stopped him to ask about pace of play.
This is the middle of the summer; I've never been backed up like this before in the middle of the hottest part of the day. If it's this bad right now, I won't ever come back during snowbird season. Heritage Isles is a fun course, and they try to take care of the course for the most part. But the staff isn't very friendly, and you're more than likely going to have to wait 20 minutes between shots while you watch a giant hackfest going on in front of you with not a single soul knowing what ready golf is.
Nice course
Course was nice and a value for the money. Bayscape bistro afterwards was great. Friendly staff and good pace of play today. The course needed to be mowed but only because it had rained and they hadn’t had a chance yet. Greens recovering well from maintenance and I will come back again.
Thank you
Excellent course conditions
The course was in excellent condition from tee box to green. The fairways were in perfect condition and so were the greens. The greens were rolling slow even though it appeared the grass was cut low. The layout was challenging but not too difficult. Placement of your tee shot was extremely important as the rough was a little tall, but acceptable because it should penalize you for not staying in the fairway. The only negative were the fairway bunkers. They were lacking sand and were more like hard pan dirt.
have just found this GEM, plan on playing this as my home course. not one thing negative about this course. If you have not played here, you are missing out on a GREAT DAY.
CONDITION AND PLAY
BEST COURSE AROUND,WELL MAINTAINED,STAFF,STARTER ARE THE BEST
Areas Best Value
I consider Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club my home course. Started at 8:00 am and was cart path only because of 2 inches of overnight rain. Course was still playable with tee boxes and green in pretty good shape and even though fairways and bunkers had some water you could find dryer areas to place the ball to hit. Finished in 3-1/2 hours and they have water coolers every 3 to 4 holes to keep hydrated.
Right Before the Storm
We’ve played Heritage Isle several times over the past year, and the course has consistently been in good condition. During this round, we were paired with another twosome and had a great time overall. The weather and heat index were extremely high, and we didn’t see many groups behind us, so we were never really being pushed from the rear.
The main issue was the twosome in front of us, who were consistently hitting three or four balls off the tee. That slowed the pace and created some frustration.
The sign on Hole 1 says, “Play Good, Play Fast, Play Poorly, Play Faster.” While I understand the intent, there is nothing worse than starting a round with the feeling that you’re being rushed through the course. I’m not sure whether this was due to poor group spacing by the starter or an effort to push as many golfers through as possible, but better pace-of-play oversight and course management would make that sign unnecessary.
Overall, Heritage Isle is a nice course in good condition, but the pace-of-play management could be improved. We only missed playing out the 18th hole due to the rain.
found my new home course. everything about this course is great. had to go out of my way to find "crab grass" and the price thru GOLF NOW is making it possible to play.
Sunday Heritage
Hot and dry, but overall the course was in good shape and I was joined by a friendly father son duo.
