Will not allow children
Booked a round golf, and was not allowed to play because I brought my six-year-old son with me. Supposedly they have a rule where children have to be eight years old. This is not listed anywhere on their website. They would not give me a refund or a rainy day pass.
Course is not ready yet!
We were so excited looking forward to playing this course after the renovations since they've been closed for 6 months. It was a HUGE disappointment. Tee boxes were still not fully grown in, fairway grass was thin kinda like backyard grass, and greens were sandy and patchy which made it difficult to make any quality putts. The day was beautiful so it wasn't a total waste of time, however we won't be coming back anytime soon.
A great smaller course
Wife and I played and had. Great time !
Greens Still A Mess
Southport just opened on 11/3/25 after being closed well over 6 months. Seems like they rushed the opening to get the snowbird business. Tees are better, but many have sod patches that aren't fully grown in.
Fairways are all green and look very nice from a distance, but once you get up close, the grass is very thin.
The greens are very, very bad! A huge disappointment after being closed for so long, I just don't get it. We were really expecting to see excellent greens..
Sandy, bare patches on nearly all greens, with many having cut out patches in them..Extremely difficult to get a smooth rolling putt in between the sand,bare patches, and plugged in patches, in some cases, a dozen or more to navigate.
A huge let down after being closed for "improvements". Its gonna take a long time for the greens to be up to par.
Hole #6 is now a par 5 instead of a par 4, making for a par 70 overall. The tees have been pushed back to stretch it out a bit from the previous placements.
The price was fair at just over $30, but I left feeling sad about the re-opening let down...Not sure if they will ever get the greens right again.
Fun round
A fun no pressure round. The course is closing for maintenance so greens and fairways were not at their usual standards .
Greens need work!
Although the greens are in terrible condition , I’m told the golf will be shut down to fix it up. Over the next few months.
Restaurant will be open and is delicious!
Bad condition
The course was in bad condition due to hurricane the greens were horrible. Thank goodness they are closing for five months to repair course

The greens are in truly shocking condition. I got a deal on GolfNow for this round, if I had paid full price I would've been demanding my money back
Needs Work
Greens were horrible. Guess they quit working on them as they will be closing soon until October to rebuild the greens. Everything was in subpar condition. Like the house, usually, and will look forward to playing again after their course work over the summer.

Course is in playable condition. Great place to learn and practice. The value is there and all the staff were very friendly and hospitable! We will be returning!
Not in good condition
Not a well conditioned golf course. Tees, fairways, rough and especially greens were in poor condition…
