Bristow Manor Golf Club

Played on aSunday early afternoon and the course was basically wide open- which was kind of shocking as it was a beautiful day. I’m thinking the price scared a lot of people off as it was over $100. But overall, the course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly and the greens were in very good condition.

This golf course raised its prices, and although they provided water, the facilities are in poor shape. There weren't even paper cups available, so I couldn't drink any. If you want water, you'll need to bring your own cup.

I’ve played Bristow a number of times over years. The conditions are constantly good. The fairways and greens were very good. I only rated it 4 stars because a number of the bunkers need some love as do a number of tee boxes. Nice patio to have a post round beer. I’ll definitely play there again.

Called the clubhouse multiple times to inform them of a specific group playing very slow - at least 1-1.5 holes behind group ahead. No marshal came out but 2 of them magically appeared when it was time to call out players to come due to darkness. Did not bother to tell the slow group to move along even though it was clear that they were using the course as a sort of range!!

great staff -conditions outstanding, food was great as well - I would recommend to everyone

Good conditions, even though slightly wet. Good layout with fairly speedy greens.

Told we could not finish our round due to closing at 8pm. Had 1 hole left at 745pm. They kicked everyone out and provided no refund. Probably won't be back. Sun was still out after 830pm.

The golf shop service is decent, however, with the new starter they have, he’s been a real pain and BY THE BOOK WITH POLICY! If you’re trying to golf by yourself and there’s nobody else behind you on the schedule (regardless if they’re busy or not) he’s going to pair you up and bump you up despite your tee time! With the price I paid, I can go elsewhere like Old Hickory and/or Potomac Shores and pay the same price, stick to my tee time, and if I have the time slot to myself (without anyone else scheduling that time), I can enjoy myself without the starter getting on my back! Lastly, they won’t even allow you to drive the golf cart to the driving range anymore! Never again and take it from me, you’re better off going to another course with better service and better starters!

Bristow Manor was in good condition when I played it. However the greens were rolling a little slow for my liking which may have been due to the recent rain. Other than that the pace of play was excellent for a weekday. Finished the round in less than 4 hours.

Fun course - but brutal experience - every single maintenance employee was working every hole on a packed tee sheet day just before July 4th holiday. Cutting grass, watering every green, bunker raking. You name it. All you heard and saw around you was grass getting cut and someone watering every hole. Nerve wracking and quite annoying. Probably will not go back unless it’s the last course available.

With what looked like a lot of open tee times, the course could easily offer to let me start earlier., but chose to hold the 4 some of individual golfers. Especially for such a hot day, allowing golfers out earlier would allow for faster rounds.
