Great Golf Course with Amazing Greens
Golf course is a good test for golfers of all abilities. Despite the course being very dry on the fairways due to the heatwave the greens are some of the best we have played on this year. Amazing job by the greenkeeping staff keeping the greens looking and playing so good. Recommend this course.
Cheap and cheerful
Despite the whole world looking brown and burnt at the moment, the grass on the greens was lush.
Dress code on the course is non existent and there is zero etiquette across the course but the course is well kept and for a municipal it is right up there.
Will play many more times
Great greeens
This course played really . well even though we’ve not had rain in weeks, the greens were in excellent condition.
Bit tough getting a tee in the ground but really good condition.
Greens were top notch
Played here today and I must say the greens and fairway were excellent.
There are only 5 grounds men and what a brilliant job they have done on the greens.
The greens are as good as any private clubs green if not better.
Well done to the ground staff they have obviously worked very hard thank you for a very enjoyable game of golf today
Overall good course
Some kids in front taking a long time per hole- called the shop and they came out and moved them so we could play through.
Good course,in great condition
Played 18 holes there this weekend, and the course was in great condition, greens were spot on,my first time playing there, won’t be the last.I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews before playing it and they should be ignored, see for yourself,👌🏻
Too busy
Such a slow pace of play, was waiting on tee boxes for 10+ mins, people in front sharing clubs. Ending up skipping 4/5 holes just to get round in a decent time
Decent course for price
It's a pretty decent course for the price.Greens need a bit of work but id imagine that will come with better weather. Played as a 2 ball behind a 4 ball and they just would not let us play through and we ended up waiting 10 mins per hole from the 10th and it seemed to get backed up and ended up a very long round.
Yer ma plays topflites
Bald tee boxes with tufts of grass, rough and fairway all the same length, greens long as fairways should have been mowed to. Add to that kids on bikes riding down the tees and across the greens and picking up your golf balls and asking to borrow your clubs… this course is for fun/extreme casual golf or beginners and not worth your time/money if you take your golf slightly seriously
Course closed in places
When i booked on line it said nothing about half the course being closed. It was only when we arrived we were informed that we could only play 1,2,3,13,14,15,16,17,18. As the other holes were not open. So we played the same holes twice. The fiirst 3 holes were a little boggy under foot (but this is britain you expect that) the greens and bunkers could do with a little attention. All round not a bad day.
Slow play and mud bath
Played here, 31/1/26 and although the weather hasn’t been the best, rain the day before and a bit the day off, I never expected the conditions to be so bad. Every tea box was bogged down and slippy. Fairways were okay in parts but then completely unplayable in others, with thick slippy mud and waterlogged. Greens where generally okay, but some where waterlogged.
What was a real disappointment was the pace of play. Even with 10 minutes tee time intervals, you soon catch the golfers in front. By the time we hit hole 15 we were waiting on 2 groups in front and when we teed of, there was at least 2 groups behind. Players talking on the greens after they had finished and taking 5 practice shots only to drive it 15 yards.
This obviously isn’t the courses fault but it really did put a damper on an already poor course. This is one of the busier courses in Liverpool but I will be avoiding this course in wet weather and on the weekends at all costs unfortunately.
Forgiving course and good cheap round
Nice cheap round but relatively well kept course. Winter drainage is better on some holes than others but no real problem getting around the course. Have played in summer and can not fault the summer conditions.
Course plays a nice challenge for beginners but also fairly forgiving
