Very enjoyable day, good golf friendly lovely staff

I have played this course on 14 occasions over the last 6 years including, most recently June last year. When we played last June it was in good condition with decent greens and well kept fairways now, sadly, it has gone to rack and ruin. Greens were very poor with bare patches and uneven roll. Weeds spreading on some of the fairways and a few bunkers GUR. Prices have gone up too so, this year, the society I play with voted with their feet as I suspect some of the members have too. On the plus side the staff are always really friendly and the course was spectacularly quiet.

Played this course now roughly 10 times over the years. Always been in good condition. Haven’t played it since 2024. Today was by far the worst it’s ever been by miles. Greens tbh were very very poor. We’re always very good. 2 bunker gur and general bunkers didn’t have much sand. Shame really as was regular 2 or 3 trips a year. Need back to basics and sort things out before the club becomes so poor nobody goes there. Can’t see us going for foreseeable future until green issues are sorted which I’d guess will take a substantial period of time.

Struggle to see how this is a £40 course. Used to play regularly but prices have gone up significantly over the last year

Some technical holes where fairway position is key and also some very generous fairways where you can open your shoulders off the tee. Greens were excellent and the green staff are letting rough grow in certain areas to tighten up. Always enjoy coming here.

I played this course a few years back and remember it in better condition then it was yesterday. The fairways were long and hadn't been mown, which for this time of year is not really acceptable. The greens were not what you would expect for this price point, very slow with zero break. The bunkers has little to no sand and were full of weeds. I'm not sure if they were having issues with the grounds maintenance team, but it was certainly not what you would expect for this price of course. Despite it being virtual empty when we turned up, the pro shop were reluctant to let us go out early, they eventually did. This has the feel of a course that needs a serious change or it will keep loosing visitors. You can't charge that amount for a course in this condition.

The course is in a beautiful location and was very quiet 1st thing in the morning, it's a good course I think for all levels of golf, I played the course on my own and it's was a pleasure as I had no in front or behind me., I will definitely go back when I am in the area again

First time and thought the course was great , layout was great and staff very friendly and approachable will definatley go back for round 2

There are a few very nice holes but overall the fairways and greens are distinctly average. I suspect the dry summer hasn’t helped.

We where made very welcome by both the pro shop and catering staff and the members, we knew we where following a 30 strong society but still played at a reasonable pace. The greens looked like they had been treated for moss but still played reasonably well and the fairways in places had suffered due to the recent hot spells but where still reasonable. The course layout is interesting with plenty of dog legs, strategically placed trees and water hazards will return in the springtime for sure all in all an enjoyable day out

Overall the course is enjoyable apart from the poor greens and bunkers. The quality of the greens is far below what I’d expect for a £40 round of golf.

What a gem of a course. Extremely well laid out. Some of the greens had a few issues but they played flat and true so no issue. The food and drink in the clubhouse were both excellent and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.
