Highly recommended j
Guy I got paired with a while back recommended this course so I thought I’d give it a try. Me and a friend played it and we were we unlucky that 2pm on a Friday there was a comp on which affected the pace of play. That’s were the bad things about this course end. Beautiful course, really friendly members and top facilities. The course is challenging without being to tricky but it has 4 different tee locations as well as the ladies for those looking for a bit more of a challenge. We paid £37.50 each for a midweek round and honestly it was worth every penny when similar places would probably charge almost double. A real hidden gem that I couldn’t recommend highly enough
Fantastic course
Great course, in great condition too, despite the recent downpours of rain.
Made to feel welcome upon arrival, got caught up behind a 4-ball, but they duly let me and my playing partner through without hesitation.
Would highly recommend Hurlston Hall.
Unfortunate
Booked a round for myself and two friends. We were all really looking forward to our first round of golf of the year. When we arrived at Hurlston Hall we were only then told that unfortunately we would be playing off temporary tee mats and that they were carrying out work on the greens and that some holes would be on temporary greens. This however turned out to be nearly all of the greens were temporary. Basically we were putting in to a hole on the fairway surface 👎
Disappointed as we had payed the full green fees and played on what felt like half of the course!! If we had known we would have booked a round else where and played Hurlston another time. But as it is we played and don't feel like returning. Shame!!
Slow group in front
The group two ahead was slow and I mean slow they lost several holes. This ruined any chance of momentum in our round. They were late on the tee and slow all the round.
