Mossack Hall
Lovely course . Greens and fairways in cracking condition for October . Would definitely play again
Great layout
Really nice course love the layout none of this up and down crap you see on some courses. Plenty of water and some really well positioned bunkers make it real test. Course in really good condition and staff really helpful suggesting I take an iron of first and whereabouts to place it … thank you placed it perfectly. Would definitely go again but was slightly more expensive than I’d usually pay.
Lovely course!
This was my second visit Mossock Hall. Last time was late December, so this was my first time playing it in summer condition. What a cracking course! Some genuinely interesting holes, great variety, and beautifully kept. I will certainly be back.
Unplayable greens
As a former member of Mossock Hall I was interested to see how it had progressed since I had left over ten years ago. I played as a 3 ball with two friends and we all agreed that the course was in a pretty terrible state. The greens have some sort of fungus growing on them and when we played they seemed to have been excessively watered, granted it has been hot recently with a lack of rain but this made the greens incredibly soft, so much so that when we played at 3pm there were hundreds of shoe marks on them meaning they were incredibly bobbly and nigh on impossible to read. The club house is and always has been terrible, with facilities likened to a Sunday league football changing room and the bar area being dated. All in all I won't be rushing back in the next ten years to play here again as there are much better courses in the area for the same price
My favourite course in the North West
I’ve only played Mossock once before in December. I enjoyed it then, but my first summer round was an absolute joy. So much so that ny friends and I have named it our “Treat Track” for birthdays and the like.
Nice varied holes. Interesting and challenging. Immaculately cared for.
Great greens
2nd time playing here and tbh fairways weren’t as good as first time. Greens were in great condition though and played true. Would still play again.
Great layout !!!
Had my first round of 18 holes here yesterday, course was in great condition really enjoyed will be back to play again
Disappointing to be told there were no riding buggys having suffered a heart attack 5 yrs ago and on a hot day when I enquired I was told there would be no carts available yet
The group playing behind me were able to purchase a riding buggy.
During the course of there round it should be noted the passenger was standing up in the cart as the driver was driving the vehicle..very unsafe and I'm sure not an image to portray.
I have spent 25 years working the golf industry in Canada I was very disappointed to return home and face poor customer service and reckless driving activity.
Fantastic course
First time of playing but won’t be my last. Great course lay out with interesting holes. Fairways where in very good condition which gave your ball a great lie. Greens were also in great condition. Arrived early and was allowed to t off straight away which was a bit of a mistake as was stuck behind three elderly ladies for the first nine holes which held us back quite a lot. The ladies didn’t play the back nine so flew around after that. Can’t fault the course at all and would definatetly recommend and will play again.
Average course - overpriced.
Course was in good condition.
Pace of play was very slow.
A lot of holes are boring and very similar.
Pro shop had nothing in it, literally.
Would I play again? Yes, but for no more than £25.
Mosack Hall lovely
Very nice reception in the pro shop made to feel welcome from your arrival.
Loved the course lot of dog legs but a good challenge
Greens were excellent and will get better if that's possible.
Will definitely play again I hope.
Thank you for your hospitality
Good course, snobby members
Overall very good course in good condition for time of year, pro shop staff very nice.
Told to go off back 9 when I get there which was fine, then told again by members in suits around the practice greens to go off back 9, again said that was fine just to get a snobby “do you even know where that is” Met a group teeing off who had a similar experience with a different person.
Then an inevitable traffic jam when getting to the 1st tee.
