Perfect golf course
Absolutely beautiful course scenery is beautiful very different if you can’t hit the fairway their is a lot of rough 10/10
Kilworth
The course was in excellent condition, extremely challenging with extremely difficult rough. You have to be on or close to the fairway as the rough was punishing, if you could find your ball. Enjoyed the course but you need to bring your A game which we unfortunately didn't.
Although it rained for a few holes overall it was fun..
Took my lad with us in a buggy..
The pro shop staff were so helpful, polite & welcoming..
Great condition course
My first time playing at Kilworth springs, I went around on my own today and the course was in great condition. It helps when you start the round with a par, birdie, par par! Only the 18th with water hazard. Would highly recommend the course, each hole was different the one previous.
A birdie of a course
Booked this rarely available course due to its good reviews. Wasn’t disappointed, easy to find, easy to park, decent range, decent clubhouse and pro shop. Layout is varied and interesting, course obviously drains well, ( it’s March and there is no mud! ) Greens are solid, large and true but pretty easy as they are almost flat. The front 9 are high on the hill with great views so it’s exposed and the prevailing wind added to the challenge. A new building with toilet and vending machines on the 10th tee was very welcome. The back 9 is lower down and more sheltered, has lots of small lakes as hazards which is very pretty. The meals at the bar were well priced and tasty. We will be returning, we thoroughly enjoyed our round.
Nice course! Needed a little TLC
Lovely course, green and tee boxes were looking a little worse for wear but with heavy rain for few days before green keepers didn't get out I would assume.
Rest of the place was very nice!
Twilight Golf
Arrived a little late after our tee time but welcoming staff assured us that it wasn't a problem found fairways bit burnt and dry due to long hot summer but still played really well tee boxes and greens in excellent condition would certainly play here again when course gets back to it's best and at £20 each for a two ball after 4pm well worth the money would certainly recommend
Super day
Excellent day and course in great condition. Pace of play slow first nine but much speedier second nine
Poor
very very poor this time. I played back in May and the course was in good condition, but clearly this course cannot handle the current dry weather - fairways completely scorched
and to top it off they had just hollow tined so the greens were unplayable. Although the fees are cheap, I still think you should be made aware the greens are not in good order before booking
Usually great course but not on our visit
Problem were the greens, I’d say virtually unplayable .
A member told us during the round that it was a green maintenance day . Looked on the club website after and there was a note actually saying it was all week but no details as to how that would affect play .
Not sure I would have seen the note even if I’d looked at the website.
No mention on GN , so check on the course web sites before booking. Spoilt the round but will still return but after checking there are no physical issues !
Slow pace
Great course, really good layout with tricky hazards, really makes you think, had my best round of golf here Sunday! One and only downside was the pace of play, just make sure you’re not in a rush. Great driving range too before you play and good putting/chipping green,
Good course
Great course in great condition. Only downside are the bunkers. A lot of them have stones in and need fixing but otherwise a great course.
Overview
Staff seemed very uninterested as if it was a chore to be there. Course was ok but not the best maintained. After a round it’s nice to seek refreshments afraid everything was locked up on what I feel was not very late 8.15pm, on the turnaround was a very nice hut with a drinks station. Unfortunately at 7pm was closed. Would I play again, possibly not with the wealth of courses far superior in our region.
