Golfer Reviews
Lovely, challenging course
Great course
Great facilities
Very friendly and helpful staff
Great condition despite a long hot summer
Good round, started in rain finished in the sunshine, some interesting a challenging holes for the beginner and intermediate golfer. Good facilities.
Friendly Welcome
Plenty of parking on arriving early. The clubhouse was busy but a warm welcome was given. A quick coffee and sausage roll set up the round. The driving range was well supported with groups receiving tuition. There was still space to hit a few balls before heading out to the putting green. Here there was also tuition taking place and to be honest as a visitor space was limited and the tutors squeezed us out. Never mind we headed to the first tee where we received guidance and a chat with the starter. We were concerned that the 8 minute intervals would cause plenty of delays, but this was not the case. We waited on tees periodically but nothing untoward. A Saturday morning of predominantly 4 balls was never going to be quick. We walked the course, but there was plenty of walking green to tee to contend with. However overall we walked less than 14,000 steps. The weather had affected the course condition with recent rain making tee to green a bit of a lottery for your lie. No preferred lies at this juncture, in fairness it didn’t detract from play. The greens were in good condition but of average speed, almost all the greens had a lip making chip and runs a test! There are some really good holes here mixed in with some bland ones, the final two make a proper test amongst others. Overall given the summer we have had the course was in good condition, some tees could do with levelling out, the greens were fair (although personally I had a shocker on them) and the bunkers well raked. Speed of play was better than expected, but be aware that they accept societies at the weekend so can be busy. They have good facilities to enhance your round, but perhaps too much tuition on a Saturday morning to be perfect.
Nice course. Excellent greens
Very good greens. Nice layout.
Great layout some long challenging holes
Yep enjoyed playing there
Nice course
Friendly staff in the club house very welcoming, and bar staff was very polite and engaging .
I would definitely play there again ,
Great course
First time for the 4players all enjoyed it great course very challenging, greens and t boxes were very good ,we all said we will return,
Shocking Do not play
We were supposed to Tee off at 944 and it ended up being about 10. We played 15 holes in 4 hours 30 mins before we decided to walk in. Very hard to find your ball in the rough. Greens were actually pretty decent but that was about the only good thing there was.
Perfect golf course
Absolutely beautiful course scenery is beautiful very different if you can’t hit the fairway their is a lot of rough 10/10
Kilworth
The course was in excellent condition, extremely challenging with extremely difficult rough. You have to be on or close to the fairway as the rough was punishing, if you could find your ball. Enjoyed the course but you need to bring your A game which we unfortunately didn't.
Although it rained for a few holes overall it was fun..
Took my lad with us in a buggy..
The pro shop staff were so helpful, polite & welcoming..
Great condition course
My first time playing at Kilworth springs, I went around on my own today and the course was in great condition. It helps when you start the round with a par, birdie, par par! Only the 18th with water hazard. Would highly recommend the course, each hole was different the one previous.
A birdie of a course
Booked this rarely available course due to its good reviews. Wasn’t disappointed, easy to find, easy to park, decent range, decent clubhouse and pro shop. Layout is varied and interesting, course obviously drains well, ( it’s March and there is no mud! ) Greens are solid, large and true but pretty easy as they are almost flat. The front 9 are high on the hill with great views so it’s exposed and the prevailing wind added to the challenge. A new building with toilet and vending machines on the 10th tee was very welcome. The back 9 is lower down and more sheltered, has lots of small lakes as hazards which is very pretty. The meals at the bar were well priced and tasty. We will be returning, we thoroughly enjoyed our round.
Nice course! Needed a little TLC
Lovely course, green and tee boxes were looking a little worse for wear but with heavy rain for few days before green keepers didn't get out I would assume.
Rest of the place was very nice!
Twilight Golf
Arrived a little late after our tee time but welcoming staff assured us that it wasn't a problem found fairways bit burnt and dry due to long hot summer but still played really well tee boxes and greens in excellent condition would certainly play here again when course gets back to it's best and at £20 each for a two ball after 4pm well worth the money would certainly recommend
