DeBell Golf Club

Full green fees for a course that is torn up, has no GapS or yardage markers (even though the layout really require it). It’s win a beautiful location but not even close to worth the money, especially the front 9 with their gimmicky greens.

I've always found the front nine exceedingly short and tight--as if they only had space for seven holes but laid in nine anyways. Short as it is, though, many holes are quite challenging and balls out of the fairway are often lost to the chapparal. If you're looking to tighten up the iron game and work on course management, this is therefore a great front nine. The back nine opens up a bit and lets one hit more full swings/longer shots. There's a lot of elevation change on the course, so unless the leg work is a bonus consider a cart.

Nice Layout of a Course.. Lotsa Course Management Needed.. Don’t Always Need to hit Driver .. Especially since there are a lot of Dog Leg Holes ( Hills and Valleys ..) Didn’t have my best round .. But nonetheless I’m just out there for fun not competition.. Only issue I had coulda been Pace Of Play .. The Group ahead of us started 20 minutes ahead of us (No Tee Time group between us..) .. and we caught up (threesome..) on the 3rd hole and there were no Marshals to tell them to move along and pick up the pace.. it became a drag waiting on them especially since you’re probably gonna lose a lot of golf balls in the rough but you’re also gonna fina a lot .. and they were like looking for their ball too many times and way too long.. Drop another and move on

Fairways and tee box grass is not cut. Greens are slow and mushy. I dont know what these other reviews are talking about but all the other LA courses are in way better shape.

This course is my favorite the new management is doing a great job the condition are great the greens are rolling great. The course give country club vibes i recommend every golfer to play De bell probably has the best conditions for a public course in the valley

DeBell is a shorter than typical course, but by no means simpler or easier. You do not need your driver or three wood on every T box; this is a course that will allow you to use every Club in your bag. The course is in really good shape, it’s not Augusta Junior, but the greens are fair, the cups are trimmed with no overhang, there is sand in the bunkers, and the tea box distances are fair and competitive.

The staff are just great! Everyone is friendly, eager to help, and really add to the overall experience. If you are playing for the first time, bring more golf balls, and you typically do, as the out of bounds is really out of bounds.

Easy parking, good food.

Been playing this course ten plus years and they finally got their act straight. The fairways are beautiful, the tee boxes are finally respectable looking and overall a huge transformation. Whoever is in charge now really knows golf and they did a fantastic job with the entire course. One of the best public courses in LA.

This course wasn't hard by any means and it keeps you honest. I had the opportunity to play during the week which is the best time to play. I have heard the nightmare that it is playing this course during the weekend due to 6 hour round. Play this course during the week for the best experience and play this course during the weekend for one of the longer rounds.

Course charged each golfer in group $57 normally pay $36 with senior card but was told that booking thru a third party which I assume is Golfnow.

Course was in great condition. It’s a pretty challenging course. Had a blast.
