Course Lay-out Impeccably cool
Just amazed at how well the green keepers have maintained Roosevelt Golf course after so many years. An Absolutely challenging and fun 9-hole.
Still the best 9 holes in LA County
Really great little course for Sunday golfers and those keen to master their mid and short game with plenty of driving opportunities. And they're strict about the pace of play, so its not as snagged as you might think it will be for a popular public course. Really beautiful and hole 7 is to die for with the backdrop of the Griffith Observatory
Scenic, challenging course
This course has a fairly low “slope rating” (level of difficulty), presumably because it has a lot of short par 4 holes and reasonably flat greens. But its many hills and actual slopes make this a harder course than some longer, flatter ones. I’m often hitting approach shots while standing at awkward angles, which is tough for someone like me who’s between a beginner and intermediate level.

Last Minute Scheduler
Great opportunity to play in the hidden gem of Los Angeles, CA. Great summer weather with beautiful wildlife and moderately challenging course.
Roosevelt
Played Roosevelt at 7:20am on a Sunday. Course was actually not backed up. Parking was easy to find for once. Group was able to tee off ahead of schedule. Didnt have to wait long per hole, about 4-5 min on Par-3’s. finished round at 9:30am. This may have just been one of those days where a lot of ppl might’ve been out of town.
SES
Roosevelt Golf Course is a hidden gem. This 9-hole executive course is surprisingly challenging and offers a fun test for golfers of all levels. What really sets it apart are the stunning views—you can see the hills, downtown LA, and even the Griffith Observatory from various points on the course. It made for a truly memorable and enjoyable day. Highly recommend for anyone looking to play a quick round in a beautiful setting.
Always a good time
Fun executive course with beautiful views of the observatory and downtown located in Griffith Park. Parking is usually OK, you’ll eventually find something. No range but they have putting greens. Selection of cocktails and beers and snacks. The greens are well maintained, though you’ll find some potholes in some of the fairways. Some don’t have etiquette to fill their divots from the tee, but that’s likely due to newer players coming here. No impossible sand trap positions. My main issue with this course is the pace of play. They run groups of 5, so it can be a bit slow and there is always a bottleneck on the 7. Otherwise a fun, beautiful course for a good price. Push carts only. Def one of my favorite exec courses if you wanna fun 9 hole that usually will have some times available if you book a couple days in advance.
