Hassle purchasing a Hotdeal
Very unfortunate and preventable situation this morning. Booked a “hot deal” thru GolfNow so paid my 700 tee time online for $21.99. Get to the course and my reservation was not in their “system” which is a pen and paper system. The lady checking me in has no idea what I’m talking about. I show her my confirmation email stating that I paid 21.99 thru GolfNow and the “due at course” balance is 0. I also show her my bank statement showing the charge went thru. She says the $21.99 is the convenience fee. I tell her that there’s no way I would pay 21.99 for a convenience fee. She tells me to tee off and to talk to her boss after the round. I go to use the bathroom before my round and she says her boss is here so I can talk to him now. Again. I explain the situation, show him the confirmation email, my bank statement and how the balance “due at course” is zero. He says that it’s not right and that I have to call GolfNow myself to figure it out. All this happening 10 minutes before my tee time. He takes another look at the confirmation email and realizes that it’s a 700 tee time which is their “hot deals” tee time I guess. He yells across the pro shop at the original lady that all 700 tee times are paid for if people book thru GolfNow. The only apology I got was an “our bad”. I feel bad for the original lady who tried to check me in. She obviously was not trained properly which is not her fault. I was irritated that the “boss” told me that I had to contact GolfNow myself to figure it out. Why use a third party vendor if you don’t know how it works?? It’s not on the consumer to waste their time to “figure it out” for you. This was my first and last time playing this course. I wanted to like this course since I’ll have weekdays off now and wanted to walk a quick 9 on the those days. I’d rather pay the bridge toll and drive to Buchanan fields in concord!
Great Experience
First time playing here…will definitely be back. Nice 9 hole course with the friendliest folks on staff. Good stuff.
Danville Duo
We have played Vintners many times over the years. It’s a local favorite and makes a convenient location for a golf outing and lunch in the Napa Valley. Conditions on course are just okay. Fairways have areas with dense coarse grass and tee boxes need attention. Greens are okay. Pace of play is pretty good considering the number of beginner players that play at Vintners.
Napa Valley’s golf gem!
Nestled in Yountville is a beautiful 9 hole golf course with challenges for all levels. Waterways snake through the course on 7 of the 9 holes but with strategic course management fairly
easy to avoid the “penalty” water and deep rough. We had a very early start. Easy walking course and we finished the front 9 in about 2 hours
Beautiful setting
This is a beautiful gem of a golf course and is challenging enough to make it interesting. It is also very playable and walkable.
Good course, only 9 holes though
If you are looking for a quick 9 this is a perfect setting. I played at 8:30 and did not have to wait. I teamed up with two locals who helped me around the course. When we were done at 10:45 the place was backed up. If we had wanted to play 18 it would have been difficult. Course was in good shape. Rough was thick but sandtraps were great.
Time well spent
Man. You gotta watch out for the geese early in the morning as they are flying on the deck between holes. The course has a great layout and is great to play with a buddy. Add in the scenic backdrop of the hills and hot air balloons really makes for an enjoyable day. Highly recommend this nine hole track.
Nice 9 hole great staff
Beautiful course and area friendly staff well maintained
Vintner's Golf's Nice Greens
The course was challenging but nice layout! Greens were perfect but tee box and fairways needed better care! Otherwise, a fun day!
Nice
A very nice 9 hole course. Distances were appropriate for par 3, par 4. No too long for par 5. Greens in good shape. Relatively easy greens in terms of slopes but wet and slow the day we played. Employees are friendly. Stayed for lunch which was good.
My only complaint is that the tee boxes are not marked as to what hole it is. Never seen that before. We were a bit confused although the cart paths are laid out well. I say spend $50 and go to Ace Hardware and get some stencils and spray paint and put numbers on the cart paths next to the tee boxes.
Good course 9 hole for price in Napa area!:
Paid $40 with cart per person forv9 holes!! Greens were perfect but fairways and tee boxes were need of better maintenance! Crabgrass everywherevand need of mowing!! Otherwise, it was fun and challenging!
Overpriced Carts
I did enjoy this 9 hole course over others in the area for sure. Only problem was that a cart cost us $20. This is somewhat ridiculous considering I pay around $12 at a 18 hole course. Other than that, the course was in good shape and nicely designed.
Fraud?
This site took my reservation and confirmed it but the course had no record of it. It also charged my 14 for this fraud. Stay away!
Perfect Day
We were in town for the Beaverdilly at the Silverado. Played that course on Tuesday. On Thursday we only had a few hours free, so we tried Vitners. Man, what a surprise! Great friendly staff. Really fun course set in an old military facility or VA facility. Beautiful, fun, and just difficult enough for a great time. We will certainly play this course every time we come back to the area.
Beautiful Winery Course
The course is beautifully designed, with open fairways and greens that are quick but fair. The staff’s hospitality was top-notch, and the restaurant served amazing food.
They rip you off
I booked this and paid $17.50 at time of booking and was to pay remainder at time of check in. Instead they charged me full price at time of booking. When I mentioned that paid the $17.50 down, they said that it was a fee that was charged by golf pass and was not a part of the green fees. Also cart was to be included in the price offered in site. They charged me separately. What was supposed to be $38 per person including cart turned into $45 for 9-holes, plus an additional $17.50 for using this app to book.
Won’t book here again using this app.
