Chardonnay Golf Club

Love the layout and many of the shorter challenging dog legs, par 3’s are fun. That’s what’s good, greens are bad, like really bad. Bunkers are unplayable, so you’re playing hurricane rules for a normal round. It’s been many years since I played here, because I’d heard it was getting worse and worse. The value of Chardonnay and Eagle for locals and folks coming to visit that don’t wanna pay resort course prices is great…but in Napa we deserve a little more than that. I won’t come back sadly.

Course is a beautiful setting, but needs a lot of repairs and maintenance. Also, the sprinklers starting.coming on at some of the holes.

At Hiddenbrook the holes are far apart, Blue Rock , Paradise Valley, even Franklin Canyon probably a better choice

We've been playing the course at least once a year for more than 20 years and are very sad to see the level of deterioration of the course we had loved to play. We sincerely gope there are plans to revive it.

It had been a couple years since the last time I played Chardonnay and it has definitely taken a turn for the worse. It's a fun track with awesome views and some challenging but fair holes, BUT... The bunkers are almost entirely unplayable – just wet, muddy slop and barely any sand. Mind you we played in the middle of September. Greens are really slow, spongy and inconsistent. Pace of play for a foursome in the late morning was approaching five hours. All things considered, the course is definitely overpriced right now and you can for sure find more bang for your buck in the area.

Play this track every time I get up into the valley. Been a couple of years, but boy how things have changed. Burnt out (like worse than a desert) fairways, bunkers are like concrete, and tee boxes so riddled with holes they resembled a cheese grater.

Did get a good rate on GolfNow, but we also played Eagle Vines the next day ( EV is the Sister course literally right next-door) and the conditions were night and day. I would rather spend a few dollars more ($10 actually!) and play with far better conditions.

But if you’re looking to save a buck and don’t mind slow play, no cart service, a mediocre lunch and a chance to twist an ankle on an randomly located unfilled hole, Chardonnay is your track.

I used to love this place, but it is now a hard pass.

The course is situated in such a beautiful location in Napa, surrounded by vineyards, wide-open spaces, and wonderful scenery—everything you could ask for in a golf course setting.

Unfortunately, the course itself seems to have been seriously neglected. The bunkers I saw had virtually no sand, just mud. The fairways were bumpy with bare patches throughout, the cart paths were badly deteriorated, and there were even leaking water valves spraying water.

It’s very sad to see a golf course in such a beautiful setting deteriorate like this. This property has so much potential and could be a truly outstanding Napa golf experience with better maintenance and care.

Great course, only complaints are there were no range balls available and the sand traps were to hard and rocky.

I have played this course many times and it used to be in much better condition a few years ago. Yesterday Fairways had numerous bare spots, tee boxes were not level and greens needed to be cut & rolled. Maybe zi just caught it on a bad day & late in Summer.
