Highland Woods Golf Course

$52 for 18 with a cart is tough to find these days. Course is in good shape and plays great.

Everything was perfect, but bunkers. The sand was hard.

Bunkers were extremely hard, greens not in the best shape, rough was high.

Good scenic layout. Course was in marginal condition, as the fairway grass was quite long. They probably couldn’t mow the grass since there was significant rainfall the previous couple of days. That being said, it was surprising that it wasn’t cart path only that days.

I would only go back if the course is in better condition, as the layout was somewhat interesting.

I am writing this review to share some feedback regarding our recent visit to the course.

We arrived early as always, checked in without any issues, grabbed our cart and clubs, and headed to the practice green. However, we encountered a significant issue regarding the lack of communication about the amenities available that day.

No one informed us before we started that there would be no beverage cart and no water available on the course. Because it was a very hot day, this made for a difficult experience as we had to wait until the turn just to get something to drink or find any water. Given that the course was fully booked, there was no reason not to have a beverage cart out, or at the very least, to notify us beforehand.

This was a case of very poor communication, and I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve the experience for golfers in the future.

My original tee time was canceled due to storm s and Highlands lands would not allow us to split our two tee times into two separate days. Will Golf now give us a credit for one of the times?

I can understand the some yellow portions of fairways due to no rain, but there were at least 3 bunkers that had wasp/hornets nests and hornets were flying close to the green. We had to leave the balls in bunkers and drop as it was scary to even get close. Can the management do something about this?
