Gaylord Golf Club

Played here once a couple years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, but it is nice is not only only the great conditions they give here and we caught a good deal on GolfNow but for senior lady golfers that has orange teas which total out at about 3800 yards which gives the wife good opportunities to get on greens and regulation no par four is over 300 for her more like two 2 1/4 so she has an excellent chance of breaking 90 which she did for the first time that we can remember she shot an 88 what she was ecstatic. I played through the on the green teas which were only 5000 so we screw through And a little over two hours at a great time she was ecstatic and it’s all good and then I spotted on my phone that twin Birch and Kalkaska had a great deal going so we ended up playing 36 holes in the same day cruise down there on the way home. We were up in Tahquamenon and Mackinac Island for a couple days with my grandson and his wife and my great grandson twin Birch also had excellent conditions so some courses blow the leaves better than others but these two did a fantastic job. Yeah I know Grandview is a little better than twin Burch up on the hill but for the price we paid we couldn’t beat it. I would encourage you to play both of these courses. Gaylord country club is very very nice.

Course shape was great and it was a beautiful day in Gaylord.

Had a group of 6 in front of us but they were great - only waiting on some slower groups in front of them that were all together in a scramble. But not too slow.

50% off attire…..but prices marked way high….50% was close to member pricing or avg pricing. Sad, they weren’t deals at all.

Very nice greens, quick with tricky reads. Nice variety of tees; I played it short because of declining length with increasing age. Nice variety of holes, several holes had difficult pun positions. Sand traps came into play. Don’t forget your yardage devices as I did. Course has 150 and 100 yard markers but I needed a little more guidance. Not wiorth the investments for club to add to their carts. Most of us have devices . Mot comfortable seats in carts that be I have ever experienced.

Well worth the time and cost

Have played this course every year for the past 5 while on vacation. Much better pace than usual. Will return.

Course is in nice shape, greens roll smooth and fairly fast. Layout is good with a variety of holes, requiring different shots BUT the pace was ridiculously slow - ranger left before finding and fixing the group holding everyone up. Not fun.

Course closed shortly after check in. Course closed due to flooding and poor weather conditions. Was told to concrete GolfNow for refund.
