Saturday Night Live is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Even if I didn't work for a division of NBC, my wife and I would be loyal watchers. There's always at least one skit that strikes a funny bone (and a few weird ones, too).
The special season is already off to a strong start. Weekend Update with Colin Jost and Michael Che is always must-watch TV, but especially in this crazy sprint to Election Day.
Last Saturday night, comedian Nate Bargatze hit it on the screws with a golf skit of him swinging away with unfortunate consequences. We can all relate. It was so good that we decided to see where it ranks among the best SNL golf skits of all time.
Golf is always great fodder for comedy, except for a certain golf legend. Sorry Tiger.
To commemorate SNL's special season, here are the best Saturday Night Live skits involving golf (plus a bonus clip from a popular SNL cast member):
-
Golf Tournament
This one hits a little too close to home for me. I actually had this happen to my foursome on the golf course.
We'd love to hear your favorite SNL skit, golf or otherwise. Let us know in the comments below. -

-
The worst things to hear right before you hit a shot
This one actually comes courtesy of Golf Digest, which hired SNL's Jost to headline its "comedy issue".
-
Masters Golf Tournament
A trashy Tina Fey at the Masters after the Tiger scandal? This one's probably not safe for work.
-
Christmas Awards
Who doesn't love a golf gift for Christmas? Apparently, this guy.

Yep, that's what West Palm Beach golfers look like.
-

Anything featuring the swing of Charles Barkley is comedy gold.
-
PGA TOUR
Before he became a soccer legend in "Ted Lasso", Jason Sudeikis showed off his comedy chops on SNL, including quite a few golf skits.
