Signs of Youth on Course's impact on growing the game of golf were all over Augusta National Golf Club last weekend.
Two members of the organization, which facilitates and subsidizes rounds of golf for juniors for $5 or less at golf facilities in the United States, Canada and Australia, finished in the top 10 of the Augusta National Women's Amateur. Seven of the eight winners of the annual Drive, Chip, and Putt competition on Sunday were Youth on Course members, too.
Youth on Course's impact is set to expand exponentially, thanks to a new partnership with Bank of America (which also sponsors the ANWA). Bank of America's new initiative, Golf with Us, offers youth, ages 6-18, a free one-year membership to Youth on Course, plus a series of free clinics featuring professional golfers, athletes and celebrities at courses around the country.
A non-profit organization based in Monterey, Calif., Youth on Course has partnered with more than 2,000 golf facilities so far, all of which offer junior golfers green fees of $5 or less. Since its inception in 2006, Youth on Course members have played more than 4 million subsidized rounds of golf for children.
As part of the Golf with Us program, Bank of America will help fund widespread expansion of Youth on Course's reach to more U.S. municipal golf course locations.
Youth on Course members also receive a registered handicap index in the United States Golf Association’s Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN) system, as well as opportunities to train as a caddie to earn money while in high school or for potential college scholarships.
Enrollment in the program is open until May 24. A series of commercials beginning during the 2025 Masters Tournament will promote 'Golf with Us'. For more information, click here.
