Great course for price
I played it for the first time today. It was winter time, so the Bermuda fairways were dead but looked well kept. A few greens were slightly rough looking. I liked the openness of the fairways and the rolling hills they built it on. A few turns were confusing, need a few more course signs. It was a nice neighborhood, overall for $45 , it was excellent! I’ll definitely go back.
No rain checks
Only got to play 3 holes and it started pouring rain. Unfortunately course offers no rain checks.
Friends loved it!
Awesome course, especially the bent greens, great staff, bar food, wonderful mountain vistas on several holes. I hosted 10 college buddies and they loved it all!
Course was in great shape
I was the first person out and the course was beautiful. Greens were pretty fast and the rolled true. Fairways could have been cut a little shorter but other than that the course was great. Always enjoy playing here.
Nice little country course, worth the trip.
I always enjoy the staff and the facilities. The course has improved over the course of the season. The only thing I find is the lack of a course marshal lends itself to slow play during all of the rounds I have played this year. Sometimes 4.5 hours others 5+ hours. It looks as if this situation will not be solved so I will have to live with slow play. The greens came through aerification very well and seem to roll nicely. Bunkers are a mixed bag, some are never raked by players or staff others seem to be maintained well. Tee boxes for the most part are playable. Fairways are now dormant for the winter months. The course is quirky in many ways but once you have played here a few times it gets a ittle better. My main concern are the holes that do not have clear sight lines to see/locate the group in front of you, mostly off the tee, can be dangerous. As I stated earlier the staff is fantastic and I enjoy playinfg here when I can.
Beautiful well kept
Love the layout. True greens. I played in 2 hours 15 mins as I started just as a charity scramble was leaving and had the course almost completely to myself. Ive played on other days and the pace of play is not slow. Pro is always knowledgeable and helpful and everyone I've met has been extremely nice. Highly recommend
Disappointed
I have played this course many times over the years. I usually have my wife with me so when I went to check in I was informed there is now a riders fee! This makes no sense. Then I was informed while playing the first hole it was cart path only. The ground was so hard I could hardly get a tee in the ground.I drove 2 hours to play.
I will not be back to this course.
Poor communication.
Pace of play again!
I have left previous feedback about pop before. Regretfully it just keeps getting worse. Don't get me wrong, I like the course (a little quirky) but for the most part fun. I just can't enjoy a 5 hour round. As I watch and listen I have deduced that most of the play is local and older senior players. That is fine but please maintain pace of play. It seems to be a social gathering with golf as a side note. I really enjoy golf with friends too but not when it is just wasting time. Today there was a entire hole open with 2 groups chugging along at a snails pace. Of course no marshal on property. Think of pulling up to the tee and waiting 10 minutes every time, second shot etc. I really want to come and just play a "normal" round of golf. I do need to add that it was cart path only due to light rain. I have probably played here 10 times this summer and the staff is always kind and helpful. Should be beautiful as the colors change this fall.
