Don't play in summer
Played nine holes in late morning but there was no drinking water available on the course- there were no coolers or vending machines on the course along with no beverage carts- should have been warned about BYOW (bring your own water) prior to teeing off- also was not warned about restrictions driving the carts in certain areas- I had major knee surgery last summer due to torn quadriceps tendon which limits my mobility but several times golf cart stopped my getting closer to my ball in the rough
Better hit it straight
Great course, small greens make hitting good approach shots important. They recently vericut the greens but I made over 100 feet of putts and only had 31 putts which is great for me on Bermuda. Very interesting layout and many fairways are tree lined and all holes have lots of slope. I went with 10 friends and we all plan to dive that hour and play it again soon.
Could be….
Designed well. Crappy pro shop and amenities. Super friendly staff. Greens were cut like crap. Carts were newer with gps. But no sky caddy and gps would say you were out of bounds even on cart path sometimes. Could be a nice course but needs some attention in a few vital areas
Weekday 50 min from home
Booked to golf a new course with father in law. I will say for the price this was a good trip to Players Ridge. The course layout is good some tight fairways and the greens are on the smaller size. In a state where is is so easy to grow grass I can’t understand why there are huge swaths of hillside with no grass. The greens have some west spots from inexperienced mowers.
Overall it’s an average muni course at a fair price with limited snack bar offerings.
Awesome course and staff
This is one of my favorite courses to play. Course layout is challenging for the seasoned golfer while being very playable for the beginner. The pro shop is very well stocked for those last minute items and has an excellent choice of swag, you gotta check out their golf shirts. The staff is one of the best parts of the course. Always friendly and willing to help you in any way. I give Players Ridge 5 stars. Check them out you won't be disappointed.
Goonie golf
Mountain course that has plenty of blind shots, not much fun for first time. Some greens need some major tlc.
Great value!
This course is getting better by the week. The greens were nice and the fairways were too. The tee boxes need some work, but other than that, it's really coming around. I'd recommend the course to anyone.
Needs alot of work
Many greens in bad shape but puttable, no rough , alot of dirt , rocks , bare spots , fairways are shaved down to nothing tee boxes hunt for non dirt spots , can putt from. 20yrds out no real grass on the course , extremely hard to get a pure shot under the ball. Carts should be converted to 4 wheelers due to bad cart paths...definitely not worth the money , this is more like a 15.00 course....great layout but poorly maintained . Needs at least a million dollars worth or work
Interesting course.
Very hill course you must position and play your ball that way , it was nice to have two local players with me. Greens are in good shape give it a month a will be excellent.
Great course friendly staff
I’ve been going to this course since I started playing golf the staff is super friendly and helpful very cool course
