Nags Head Golf Links

I had a great time on this beautifully designed course. I played with my sister-in-law who only wanted to play 9 holes otherwise I would've stayed and played all 18. Honestly lost several balls in the water and even one on someone's upper deck :)
No pressure on the course to hurry play, and the scenery was spectacular. This course is built on the sound side of the island with several holes right on the waters edge, with plenty of ponds, streams and, other hazards. We misjudged the yardage on a couple of drives resulting in the sound of a dull plop/splashing sound and the crisp cracking sound of my ball striking the upper deck of a house.
The greens were recently punched out (aerated) so the putting surfaces didn't have the best roll but, so what!
Great OBX experience for anyone just waiting to happen, if you are an average golfer expect to lose a few balls and have some laughs.

Good course. Great views. Good value with golfnow discount.

Course plays very short and depending on what tee boxes, you may never hit more than a hybrid (200yds).

However what it lacks in typical distance, it makes up in narrow fairways, avg to small greens and WINDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

If you don't club up/down accordingly, just put down a DB. If you have a poor short game, it will be a rough day for you.

The average golfer may struggle some - lots of water - greens hold fairly well - greens putt very true - booked tee time on Golf Now for $49 making this an exceptional value - I've paid more for inferior courses

Beautiful, well-maintained course that we found to be quite challenging. Friendly staff both on and off the course. It would have been helpful had there been a layout of the holes at each of the teeing areas.

Absolutely gorgeous - tight fairways and lots of water but worth the extra balls for these fabulous views. Bring a windshirt...

I have played in Scotland and Ireland and this course does not quality as a links course for several reasons. But, that is not to say it is a bad course. Just poorly named.
The course was in good shape and the staff was very friendly. No beverage service on course. Greens in nice shape. Be on lookout for rabbits!!

I was paired up with younger guys but we had a good time and enjoyed the round.

Nothing impressive about this course except the views of the sound.

Interesting golf course but extremely windy. Do you like wind? Play here. If not, go elsewhere.

Very nice course.. played it when it wasn't in "season" and it was still well taken care of greens were it great shape..

We really enjoyed playing the course and got a super deal on GolfNow.com to play 18 holes. One of the things that caught our attention also was an email I was sent from Nags Head Golf Links that stated if you book an 18 hole tee time through GolfNow through April 13th, you get a free Greg Norman golf shirt ($49.99 value). So we booked a foursome on GolfNow for an afternoon tee time ($31 per player) and headed to the course ready to get our free shirt and play the course. The guy working in the pro shop informed us when we arrived that only the people who pay full price and play in the morning got the free shirt. This was not listed anywhere in the email or description of the free shirt. Just because we were smart and got a great deal on golf we were punished by not getting a shirt. Bad business if you ask me. We really enjoyed the course, but I will not believe any other advertisements or promotions from Nags Head Golf Links.

There's plenty of water and some of the fairways are unforgiving. This course makes you work for it. The greens weren't perfect, but are better than most. Fairways were in superb shape.

There was a strong south breeze that required an extra two club lengths at times, especially the holes on the sound. But the wind is always blowing in Nags Head! Great course.

Course in good condition for early spring..Bermuda fairways are still brown,but very playable. Greens have been plugged, but greens are very fast and true.Will play again and would recommend it to be played while near the Nags Head area

Challenging course with some tight or hidden spots, but a great layout with spectacular holes along the Sound.

This is a GREAT course! Its tight but challenging. For the winter it was in very good shape. Greens were well kept and fast. Great views of the sound. The staff is helpful and very courteous.

This golf course was extremely fun to play. Although the wind provides a great challenge, the course gives you some areas where you can miss. I enjoyed every hole I played and can't wait to get back.

Had a great round. Nice layout on the sound. Beautiful views. Weather was cold and windy, but after all it was Dec. would definitely play again.
