Excellent Course! A Must Play!
I hadn’t played here in over 30 years and it was my son’s first time playing The Emerald. Only negative was they had recently aerated the greens. But they still held nicely and putting true. Other than that the course is in great shape. Everyone from Pro Shop to the starter to the grill were super nice. Good food at the grill and reasonably priced also! The course is well laid out and challenging. There are red, yellow, white, blue, and championship tee boxes so no matter your skill level the course is adaptable and well marked for yardage. It helps to have a range finder to know where to place shots both off the tee and some 2nd shots. We really enjoyed our round and it was a tremendous value for the price we paid.
Great course
I always try to play this course when I’m down this way. Great design and great conditions. Greens are quick but receptive.
Nicest course in eastern NC
Played here a 2x this month. Course is in great condition. I like fast greens and this course has them. Smooth true rolling greens. Pretty course too with a lot of water, bunkers and mounds. I’ll be back.

Was a great day played 18 in just over 3 hrs! I also shot 100 so had I played a good round it would’ve been just over 2 hrs.
Nice Course
I've played here about a dozen times over the years vacationing. I've always enjoyed playing here. The course has a good verity of holes, water hazards ext... The course conditions this year are excellent compared to years past.

Course was well maintained and the fairways are wide
Nice course
Pace of play terrible! 2 groups in front of us, took forever. Groups of 3 and 4. We were a group of 2, they never considered letting us play through. The course is great, but waiting so long between shots made it not enjoyable. They have a starter who was friendly, welcoming and informative. They need a ranger riding around to force the issue of letting faster players play through. We even took a club to the group in front they left behind and they still didn’t acknowledge or suggest us playing through! The Emerald is a top class golf course, if they would monitor the pace of play they would be second to none!

The course was in excellent condition, greens were rolling true! I highly recommend playing this course if you are in the area!

Overall great course
The course is challenging as is beautiful. The only thing I would change is that the cart paths could use some love as they were a tad rough.
