River Oaks Golf Club

This super hilly course is a tough test of shot selection. The fairways and greens are in great shape but very hard. The ball doesn’t want to hold the green at all. There are beautiful vistas all around.

I will absolutely be back.

This golf course is a true test for your game. I would say it favors the driver of the tee with a lot of forced carries and trouble of the left and right. Fairways in great shape, greens fast and true , really nice pro shop and grill. overall, it’s a heck of a value that I got on GolfNow. Thank you for having me!

The course is in great shape. The driving range is open again. The River Oaks team is second to none!

Tough course. Fun to play. Keep it below the hole!

River Oaks never disappoints. Even after all of the winter weather here in the last few weeks, the course is in great shape. They are making some improvements at the driving range and at hole 8, it didn't hold up play.

I went out here just to go somewhere different outside of Charlotte. Omg the views, the fast carts , the difficulties of the course. A ONE!!! Will definitely be going again.

I played 18 holes by myself.

It was first time I played. Fairway was narrow with lots of undulation and slope. Green speed was not so fast, because of cold weather, but it was well maintained. I love this course's layout. Good course condition to play. But you need many balls to play if you are not good at play narrow course haha...

Nice course but lack of grass in fairways (just extremely short) makes difficult for a sweeper to hit ball , the greens where extremely fast almost to fast but after 9 finally got the speed down, course is nice just a little long for some golfers i shot 88 from white an had 4 doubles because the greens wouldn’t hold the shots but all in all id definitely play again an im sure id play a good 5 strokes better

The course is fun and well maintained. Greens are nice and lots of fun holes and elevation. The owner puts a lot of care into the course and it shows Staff is friendly

Only suggestion would be green sand for divots and keeping the rough on both sides of 13 a little shorter to save time (people looking for their balls) 5 stars

This course more than exceeded my expectations! I played with a 2some who were members at a very nice private club in area and was an amazing time. They also were raving about the course. Tee boxes were very well kept, fairways amazing and greens roll very well just don’t get above the hole! I am so impressed with how well this course is maintained with amount of area it covers. Oh by the way some beautiful holes but tough. Some holes resemble mountain courses. Other courses should take note of River Oaks! Best part it only cost $47. I can’t say enough great things and look forward to playing it again soon. Great Job to entire staff!

Paired up with 3 some and they made the round great. Course was in great condition beside 1 tee box. Fairways are side by side so a few times players from another hole would cross fairways. Not a Big deal because everyone was respectful.

Great course, very good course conditions, challenging course! Overall great track…it’s a must play!

Hadn't played here in nearly 3 years, course has changed a number of things, was in good condition even though it was very wet and being nearly 100 degrees it was a tough round waiting for 15 mins on every shot, the rate is still more than it should be in spite of all the transplants saying this a good deal
