About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

great course to kill time here in Atlantic city area
Challenging greens, short par 5 which makes it easier for a par72 golf course

Slow play, tee boxes need attention and you feel like you’re playing in the middle of a village.

Needs work
Course needs a lot of work. Tee boxes and some fairways need to be worked on. Multiple bare spots.
Played this course years ago when it was in better shape.

Considering the location - Just Great
The greens were unbelievably fine. As an island course with strong ocean breezes the greens keeper does a very ggod job of maintaining a flat course with adequate traps and hazards. This course while not especially difficult has the capriciousness of wind to make every round challenging.

Goat Pasture
I don't even know if I'd let my goats graze in these fields. The layout has some fun holes, but the tee boxes were very chewed up, the fairways were mostly crab grass, other assorted weeds, or worn/burnt out spots, and the greens were bumpy and pock marked. Would not play at any price given the the plethora of options on the mainland. The only benefit to this course is it was down the road from the beach house I was staying in.
You asked for me to fit my review into a more constructive form, and I'm not sure what that means. Yes, I started with a joke about it being a goat pasture, but I then went on to list very specific constructive criticisms.

Very Disappointing
Tee boxes are all crabgrass, as are the fairways.

Solid layout, good value in need of TLC
Like the layout.and greens were good but riding mower MUST pickup discarded grass clippings as it took many uncounted minutes searching for golf balls throughout the round in the rough. Also, the restaurant can’t close at 4pm on a Saturday when NO other water is available on the back 9.

It poured over night so unfortunately the course had it's wet spots but outside of that it was great
