Blue Heron Pines Golf Club
About
The Blue Heron Pines Golf Club consists of two award-winning courses called the East and the West. Located 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City, these public golf courses provide a challenging game and have been touted by many New Jersey publications as the best 18-hole course on the Jersey Shore.
Each golf course had a different designer so they do have some differences. The West Course is relatively flat with narrow fairways and fast greens. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes. The East Course on the other hand features wide fairways and difficult bunkers. The East Course also follows a links-style layout and is meant to be played fast and firm. For those who want to play the courses but aren't at the top of their game yet, the club offers golf instruction.

Solid course
In very good condition. Several work crews cleaning up trees today. Respectful and aware of the golfers. Greens were slow so that was a bit annoying. But everything else was in good condition. Staff was very helpful and attentive.
Great shape
While not exactly a budget-friendly track, it's in great shape and a well-spent afternoon!
Nice Course
Nice design. Greens and fairways in great shape. Very fair layout. Lots of bunkers and fast greens.
Nice course, even nicer staff
Liked the course for my first time here - didn't like the many sandtraps - my nemesis! Course staff were outstanding! Gary the bag guy was very friendly and helpful. Morgan the cart gal was excellent, as well as the bartenders after the round. Food was good considering. Yes I'd return (although it's a bit of a hike), maybe next time I'll do a better job avoiding some of those many bunkers!
Jaws always delivers nice experience at reasonable price
Very nice day out on course
In very good shape although greens were slow due to heavy rain prior day
The Blue
It was shocking to me how genuinely kind and helpful everyone there was! We were greeted by Gary, warm smile and genuine desire to make our visit a pleasurable one.
We were aired up with another couple who had played this course before.
We found the course challenging, especially the greens!
Overall a great time!
Good conditions
Have played Blue Heron Pines a number of times in the past and the course is currently in prime summer shape. Only downside was that the greens seems to have some minor top dressing sand. Even with that, they still rolled nicely.
Blue Heron Pines
Excellent course. Greens are superb. Traps are well maintained and fairways are in fantastic shape. First time here and I highly recommend it. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. A wonderful golf experience.
Sunday Golf
Course was in excellent shape.
Nice driving range, pitching area and putting green.
Will definitely play here again.
Great, but no enforcement for pace of play
The pace of play at blue heron is notoriously poor. People are started too close together, and I have yet to see a ranger come out and encourage the slow groups to speed up. Other than that, it’s a great course. Someone just has to speed the slow guys up.
wet cart path
The parking is tricky, barricades up almost like no more parking, but they want golfers to pull all the way around. It was cartpath only day due to morning downpour, but still pretty good. I lucked into a great partner familiar with the course, water hazzars, bunkers even tree overhang . A cart path round is never as much fun but still enjoyed my round
The course was cart path only because of rain for 2 days prior. It was on Sunday and the course was ridiculously busy as if it was over booked. That being said my group was harassed by the rangers multiple times for slow play. We play every Sunday together and are not slow players. We were not playing slow, we were playing as fast as the course allowed us. The group ahead was right in front of us all day and the group behind us was up our rear ends. A player in the group behind us almost hit me with a ball that was a clubs length away. I only heard "four" after the ball had landed right next to me and this happened to us multiple times. We did not have an good time. The rangers made it dangerous letting players shoot 200 yards behind you right at you. For the $85 it cost each player there are other courses that are nicer and have a staff that are looking out for your safety, not about how much money the course is making today. I would have gave it zero stars but you cannot. I will never play this course again and will not recommend it to anyone.
