Blue Heron Pines Golf Club
About
The Blue Heron Pines Golf Club consists of two award-winning courses called the East and the West. Located 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City, these public golf courses provide a challenging game and have been touted by many New Jersey publications as the best 18-hole course on the Jersey Shore.
Each golf course had a different designer so they do have some differences. The West Course is relatively flat with narrow fairways and fast greens. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes. The East Course on the other hand features wide fairways and difficult bunkers. The East Course also follows a links-style layout and is meant to be played fast and firm. For those who want to play the courses but aren't at the top of their game yet, the club offers golf instruction.

nice round on perfect day
everything was great except pace of play on back nine
understandable as public course on sept like day in november
blue heron is always good golf at fair value
Last time I played here was over 15 yrs ago..... I was a little disappointed in the condition of the course now. The course now looks like it has been neglected pr maybe it was because of Fall condition?? This was especially noticeable around the greens.....
Friendly Staff, decent condition, SLOW PLAY
The course staff was excellent!
The course was in good shape.
The greens were consistent.
WE WAITED ON EVERY SHOT. 5+ hour round. No ranger. There were at least two holes open in front of 3 or 4 groups ahead.
For the price they charge, the pace should be 4 hours or less.
When I asked the gentleman in the pro shop if 5 hours+ was the norm, he said no but questioned me as if I wasn’t callable of knowing the course was slow. I’m a + handicap and have worked in the business since 1999.
Overall, I’d okay here again because I like the track. Just do something to make slow groups pick up the pace.
Had to cancel at course moved my tee time to accommodate a scramble was tottally ticked tee off had to intervene in matter did help me agent was great. ive never had this happen before really unacceptable
Tee times too close together
We were paired with another twosome, behind a foursome that were walking, and in front of carted twosome.
The forward group were slow and consequently we were constantly under barrage by the long hitters behind us.
Not the first time this situation occurred. In fact, this is the only course that I have played recently were a fight broke out from a similar situation.
The pre-game lunch was excellent.
Not that good
The Course is looking ruff ! They never redid the bunkers some fairways are eaten up and spotty . And Ron Originally said he would keep prices low ! They are not ! Very hard to get tee times especially for a single !!!
Course in great shape... Greens are rediculously tough.. Thats a good thing.. B back
Hurry up and wait
The two foursomes in front of us were very slow. The foursome behind us continually hit up on us
Great course but in poor condition.
The recent tropical storm made its mark on this course. Its usually 4.5/5 but was more like a 2/5 on this day. Pace of play was incredibly slow. I played here last year and it was immaculate, not sure if I’ll play again at this price point.
Facility is obviously catering to weddings and events.
Course used to be great but for the money it is not worth it.
Course needs some TLC
Decent course
Course was ok considering rain the night before. The problem I had is they allowed no coolers which was ok but we asked if there was a beverage cart and they said yes and would be around with water as well as the ranger would have water. We didn’t see the cart girl until hole 16 and the ranger didn’t offer any water although he was around a lot and kept the play going. The front nine greens were bumpy but back nine were in good shape.
