About
The Blue Heron Pines Golf Club consists of two award-winning courses called the East and the West. Located 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City, these public golf courses provide a challenging game and have been touted by many New Jersey publications as the best 18-hole course on the Jersey Shore.
Each golf course had a different designer so they do have some differences. The West Course is relatively flat with narrow fairways and fast greens. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes. The East Course on the other hand features wide fairways and difficult bunkers. The East Course also follows a links-style layout and is meant to be played fast and firm. For those who want to play the courses but aren't at the top of their game yet, the club offers golf instruction.

Great round of golf
Course was in great shape. Rangers were out keeping pace going, even with bad fog in the early morning.
Green top dressed and not brushed properly
Not sure why they top dresses the greens Monday morning? Putting stunk on every hole! They could have discounted or warned us. Maybe they too dressed because the drought but the greens were punch months ago. Because they did not brush the sand properly some put kicked left or right. Disappointed because I was going to put this in our list but never again.
Excellent course with a few problems
A very good layout, with just two issues...there is NO water on the course...no place to refill your water bottle (but on the other hand, there were no restrooms either so I guess it all evens out in the long run!)...while there is a beverage cart, in 18 holes, we only saw her twice..and once was on the first green!
Also, the carts have no GPS and are well beyond their useful life (ripped seats, unwashed, etc.). Otherwise, the golf was great, just not up to what
should have been provided.
Fast and very good greens
Staff could be friendlier.
No towels
No water on the course but drink cart is available.
Good range and practice facilities while you wait.
Tee off delayed 20 minutes
Course was out of carts, so we had to wait for people to finish playing so we could get a cart. Never ever had that happen before. Disapointing
Senior tees
I found the course senior friendly. Fairways still coming around but cut nicely. Greens a little fast but you adjust as you play. Cart girl around at least until 7pm. We started on time 251 pm and finished about 710. Started was great team us up with 2 others and everything was great
great course
west is links style, wide open with well placed traps.
Only issue is the rough around the green wasn’t rough at all. Led to a lot of difficult shots that should have been easy. And some approach shots that would have been really nice that ended up poorly. Otherwise course conditions were great even after a recent aeration.
Greens were bumpy from recent aeration and a little slow . Pace of play was. Good for us / sub 5 hours….
Like the course though.
