Hinckley Hills Golf Course
About
Situated between Cleveland and Akron, Hinckley Hills Golf Course sprawls across the rolling hills of northeastern Ohio. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, there is also a short course called the Buzzard's Nest. This course features five par-4 holes that are located right in the middle of the championship course. It's a great option if you don't have time for a full 18 holes. Hinckley Hills' longer course is a challenging test that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The undulating greens and lush contoured fairways demand accuracy, especially when coupled with the abundant woodlands. The golf course is a seemingly manageable 6,500 yards from the back tees but it can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. There are also a few water hazards to watch out for.

Great Staff
I always love playing this course...Challenging, hilly, and scenic. The front is long with 3 par 5 but open. The back is a bit shorter but tight...will test your entire game..staff was very friendly and informative. We played at a very good pace. I definitely will be back and would recommend it .
Aerated Greens in July
Aerated Greens caused for a bumpy ride on the greens. Don't know why they did that mid year... Course was ok other than that. Not worth the price of admission though.
Over Rated
This course is not as hyped up to be as they make it. The staff was not friendly at all, food was moderate and the course was nothing to brag about. If you and your buddies are looking for fun while having a few drinks, this is the place. If your looking for a nice pristine course, search elsewhere.
Really enjoyed the round
Played 18 with my son. 4th of July weather was excellent. Tee time was 1pm. Good flow on front 9, and back 9 there was no one in front or behind. Course was in very good shape. Tight fairways and rolling hills provided some challenge. Minimal water in play and sand didn't really play too much. With value rates this course was fantastic. Would not walk this course, though.
Blues
Tough little course from the blues give it a try for a good time
Nice course but really slow greens.
The course looks great. My only knock on the course that the greens are pretty slow and the sand traps were not in the best shape.
Fast games
Course is definitely challenging. Got in and started immediately. Great pace of play. Quiet and scenic.
Lots of hills and great views
Played 18 on this course on a Saturday morning, was actually about 5 minutes late for the tee time but they got us off as soon as we got there. Plenty of blind tee shots, so that can lead to some headache when you're behind a slow group, but all in all the conditions were good, greens were smooth, and the bunkers were great, which you just don't see often.
Played for $34, I'd play again for the same rate.
Very Nice, Hilly!
Rained, poured on #8, heavy lightning, had to quit.
Liked the course overall
Ranger very friendly and helpful
Looking forward to using my rain check!
Amazing as usual
I play this course often, The staff has always been a pleasure, the course is in great condition, the pace of play is decent. in my opinion, one of the best courses in the area
The staff at Hinckley Hills course is very rooted and not friendly at all
I booked 9 holes of golf for a group of 5 before I booked it I called the course and told them that we had to be done by 11:30 AM the latest. I also asked him if we can tee of on the back 9 and he said no problem. I booked a threesome for 8:32 AM and a twosome for 8:40 AM Unfortunately 3 guys couldn't make and we were left with two of us so I ask the guy with we can go and play the back 9 holes and he said find. So the two of us tee of from the 10th hole after hour shots were in the fairway the starter comes over and say we have to play the front 9 holes so he called back to the front desk and asked if we can stay on the 10th hole and the front desk said no I tried to talk with him over the starter phone and he said no so we had to go and get our balls from the fairway and the starter said you will be playing the front 9 holes instead I was getting just a little upset because the front 9 now was six deep with carts I when in to talk with the front desk and he told me you must play the front 9 after telling me it was ok to play the back 9 earlier. I asked for my money back and he refuse to give me my money back and threat that he would call the police. I told him go right ahead and call the police so after 10 minutes he finally give my money back and we left the course. I will never ever come back to this place to play golf. They need new management and bad because the front desk guy must have an attitude problem with people in general This guy should be fired and let go. The course should also be shut down for good.
beautiful course
Played there on memorial day and had great time. The views were fabulous and the course was in pretty good shape. Best part was how quickly we played our round. It ended up taking us about four and a half hours which for a holiday was amazing.
Good course but same old prpblem
This is a lovely course with a friendly staff. It's discouraging though that the pace of play at so many courses is so SLOW these days. Players are not playing ready golf, are playing from tees beyond their abilities, waiting to take shots when the group ahead of them is well out of range and putting like there were big bucks at stake. Golfers want to golf - not watch the slowpokes putz around. Golfers of all skill levels can play ready golf and improve the experience for everyone.
Fun golf course...and great layout
Awesome golf course. We had a great time. The only down side would be that the greens were incredibly slow. Hopefully as the season goes on this will improve. Great layout and beautiful scenery. I will be back for sure.
great day of golf
Course was in great shape. Older course and trees closing in on fairways. Very challenging and scenic. Only the cartpaths in rough shape.
Too tricky at times, but decent
There were some holes that seem very crammed in on the edge of the course; I enjoy tight fairways and hazards that make a course challenging, but a few holes were just unfairly difficult. I don't know anybody who enjoys hitting a blind 200 yard teeshot over water into a 15 foot wide landing zone, with trees on the left and OB on the right. Other than a couple of strange holes like this, most of this course is challenging, but fair and fun.
great shape
Considering the winter/spring northern ohio has had this course is in excellent shape.
hinkley hills
The course is in great shape for the spring time it's long and tight making for challenging play. I would recommend it to more experienced golfers not a course for beginners
The course was very hilly.
The tips are the best position to play from, the whites are to close. The greens were were very slow and very dry for this time of year. The course was a lot of fun for beginner. I will go back in the summer to see all the trees in full color.
