Walden Ponds Golf Club

Played on a day course had two outings, started on back nine, some wait but not too long, as a threesome moved along fairly well. Course overall in excellent shape.ood level tees, plush fairways. fair rough, greens that held shots and rolled fast but true, course has lots of sand traps and a fair amount of water, set amongst a real estate development of single family houses, fairways wide to accept less than perfect tee shots. Only two blemishes were spike marks on greens from heavy play that day and noticeable rocks in sand traps. Clubhouse is an older converted home, signage poor as to where pro shop located. Course had starters for both nines with rangers out on course, coolers filled with cold water. Played from blue tees which were 6,400 yards, black at 7,000 white 5,800, also gold and red each less. Five different tee locations offers a good range to match talent. One of the five best courses I played locally in last two years, price of $13 on golf now was worth the hour drive. Scorecard has map showing each hole with some yardage indicators between tees and sand traps, or trees including size of each green which is helpful. Card also specifies course uses red, white & blue pin placements and same colors marked as yardage indicators on cart paths with yardage also marked on sprinkler heads. Course has a large on site practice area which is nice.

Challenging course gray greens had a superb day great value

Walden Ponds is a great golf course. Greens are kept in spectacular condition and roll perfect. Fairways, tees, everything is very nice shape. Only thing I would recommend is better sand in the traps. Other than that, Walden is real treat and a great course!

Beautiful course and recommend it however they need to push ball mark repairs and get rocks out of the traps.

This was the first time I played this course. I expected to play a quick round as a single on a Wednesday morning. Much to my surprise, the round took over 5 hours. The houses surrounding the course are part of the golf community--many of the residents are retired and didn't seem to show any urgency to complete a hole. The course was in great shape and was quite challenging. Overall, I would definitely go back for another round.

I always enjoy playing Walden Pond. Greens were in good shape and rolled good. I would recommend you give the course a try if you haven't played it already.

Beautiful course but lots of sand...Wide fairways and didn't loose balls due to heavy roughs.

Walden Ponds is a great course and is kept in great conditions for the amount of play. My only problem was the pace. We played 18 holes in just under 6 hours, yea 6. I had two junior golfers with me and we were right on top of the group in front of us. The starter has to to a better job of pacing tee times and holding groups. We didn't even get to the 1st box and a group was waiting behind, then a single behind them. Made for a slow day and a sun burn.

Walden ponds is a great track where you get the most bang for your buck, in my opinion. The course has been in great shape every time I've played there this summer. They roll the greens for excellent putting conditions and would be nearly perfect if it weren't for the lazy people that can't fix a divot, but don't worry if I am following you u I will fix it for ya. The staff is always there for you and always the first to say "hi, how are you? How can I help you". As for those of you who like that beverage cart, I usually see theirs 5 or 6 times a round... Did I mention? If you book online during the week you can play 18 with a cart for $25...CRAZY!!...Enjoy!!

The layout of the course has always been a favorite of mine. now that they have filled in the bunkers with sand, it's even more enjoyable. The greens are true, but i wish more golfers would repair their ball marks.
The fairways are generous with large landing areas. around the greens are well maintained. We played for $26 (throgh Golfnow.com). an incredible deal.Will play the course again.

Challenging course in good condition. Greens are fast and smooth. Fairways in good shape. Recent repairs to the cart paths are a welcome improvement.

Always like to play Walden Ponds. It's been a little while since I've played there, staff was very friendly , the course was in pretty good shape, greens rolled real well. My only improvement would be to have better sand in the bunkers, they seemed like the sand was packed down and it was hard to slide the club under the ball without it skipping off the hard surface.

Another awesome day at Walden Ponds. I believe this is Butler Countys best public course. If you.ve played there , you have to agree. If you haven't , you should.

Walden ponds is a great value. Course always in great shape, course layout is challenging. I had 45 minute drive but we'll worth it. The greens were really fast!

Excellent condition all around. Lots of golfers on a Tuesday made for slow pace of play.

I really enjoyed this round. We were really fortunate to have perfect weather for the evening. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were true. Fairways/Rough were distinguished. Bunkers were adequate. Only downside was we were expecting to pick up a hot dog at the turn, but because of the excruciatingly slow play, the food was already closed up by time we finished our first 9. I would definitely play this course again, especially for the rate we got it at.

Beautiful course very good condition. Worth the drive from Cincinnati and the golf now price.

This was my first time playing this course and I was extremely happy with the course. I had a tee time at 1030 am and started out quick with no waiting. But when I reached the fourth hole, I found myself waiting for 10 minutes on every tee box, sometimes longer. On more than one whole, there were 4-5 groups on each hole. Either waiting to tee off or waiting in the fairway. Other than the pace the course was great and will be back.
