great course
really like this course!! course is in good shape greens rolling good
Enjoyed the course, not the pace
Two groups in front of us were playing a tee box too far back for them. Two in the bush on their every hole.
Greens were pretty good for having been aerated 2 weeks before. Fairways and tee boxes were very good.
Very good selection in the pro shop.
Wish they had a nice bar for afterwards...just a snack bar.
Enjoyed the course !
Great value for a quality course.
I mentioned to the pro shop manager that if they made a round any cheaper they would be paying me to play. Aeration of the coarse is taking place now too. Overall though, a nice course for your money.
Solid course, forgiving when rough is not long
Fairways are generally wide and plush, some of the best in Cincinnati. Greens were nice (despite recent aeration) and plenty fast making putting a challenge. Most holes are interesting although a couple feel like a duplicate a previous hole. There is a good variation in yardage depending on which tees you select. We happened to play during aeration which made a few fairways less pleasant.
Nice Course, HORRIBLE Pace of Play
It took us 3 hours to play the front nine, and with a 3:21 pm tee time, that meant we weren't finishing before dark. There was no starter to check us in, and nobody ranging the course to affect pace of play. The group in front of us literally had 8-10 players in it playing the same hole, and while that was super slow the groups in front of them were even holding them up. We didn't finish until after 8 pm, and the last three or four holes we essentially played blind because you couldn't see your ball.
Greens in good shape
Course was in good shape, started on time, but had to continually wait on group in front of us on the front nine who didn't know how to play ready golf. Greens in very good shape.
Bring you "A" short game
A fairly simple golf course from tee to green, with wide, wide open fairways and little OB trouble unless you really spray your balls. Fairways and tee boxes were immaculate. One of the par 5's is really a 4 , at about 450yds from the blues, but the green is pretty small. All the greens were fairly firm, and very undulating. Keep the ball below the hole on these, as they were rolling very fast - no official number given , but it was definitely >10. My 3 putts killed what was otherwise a great round of golf. Pace of play was excellent, only slowing up as we got to the last 2 holes, and played in just over 3:30, even though course promises 4:30.
Very good value for the course.
Foursome played on a holiday, Labor Day. Course was busy but we were still able to hack it around in about 4 1/4 hours....not bad at all. Challenging course but not overly difficult for bogey golfers. Overall in good shape. Traps are better than in years past but a couple more tips from "The Golf Fix" would have come in handy. Blue tee's were about 6400 and does play long. Great value with the Golf Now pricing.
Easy course if you are playing well!
The course was in very good condition considering the weather. The greens were very fast so you never really had a "gimme" putt. All but one par 5 was reachable with two really good shots. That is a big plus for scoring but can slow a round down. This didn't seem to happen.
Neighborhood course but open fairways
Very nice course, probably my favorite in the area. Nice open fairways. You really need to miss hit it to even come close to hitting a house. Wouldn't recommend playing after 600 PM, I didn't get to finish.
Great course in great condition
Great course, with a lot of challenging holes. Greens were lightning fast, with some tough pin positions. Course in great shape, all the way around. Red, white and blue flags on the greens for front, middle , back always correct. Made getting the distances easy.
This course is great, just avoid the bunkers
Walden Ponds is a great course, it's in really good condition. The pace of play was a little slow, I guess that can be expected for a Sunday Morning. They have some of the toughest bunkers in town, if you get stuck in one, it's probably going to take you a couple of shots to get out.
Fabulous course!
They raised the prices recently to over 40 dollars for 18 holes so nobody comes to play during the week. This creates fast play and wonderful course conditions. Fairways are so wide that even I can hit them!
Beautiful course
Course is in great condition. Close to houses but shouldn't hit them. Staff was super friendly. I can't get over how beautiful the course was. Overall the course is pretty open so tough to lose a ball. Can't wait to play again
Course in the best shape
Fine setup, worth the money. Greens in very good condition, stay out of the bunkers.
1st tee time of the day
We teed off at 639am so pace of play was really quick. We played in about 3.5 hours. Course is in really good shape. Only frustration was greens keeper kept turning sprinklers on in the fairways. A playing partner had a few shots that were less then pleasant because of this. We had this issue on the first 6 to 7 holes. Course was packed when we left with a lot of groups waiting on the tee.
Great straight forward and visually appealing design.
Great straight forward and visually appealing design that will require every club in your bag (and maybe some shots not in your bag). The condition of the tees, fairways, bunkers and greens were excellent the day we played. Rough was not real long and left natural and a little weedy. I find this sensible, no need to have manicured watered rough or pour on extra chemicals, a player should be penalized if they hit it in the rough.
I Highly recommend Walden Ponds.
Good deal at this typicall overpriced course
This course usually is overpriced, especially on weekends and this deal was very good. Course is in good shape right now.
The greens were very fast with a lot of green side bunkers
Very nice course that is well maintained. rates are very high, thus Golf Now.com is a good value. But tee times are limited
