SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW PLAY!!!!!!!!!!
The course was in great shape but the only thing needed to be said is a 5 hour 12 minute round of golf on a course with no trees, minimal amount of water and fairways as wide as a football field. The problem is lack of supervision, what happened to rangers do they exist anymore? We had one group holding up three other groups. If you are worried about them being upset bc you asked them to speed up what about the other 16 people behind them that are being held up? I honestly doubt I will play there ever again on a weekend, maybe a 6:30 am weekday but other than that I won't be there.
course has a ridiculous amount of sand!
well organized it was in great condition and the pace of play was a right on I will definitely comeback
nice course jus over booked.
Course loves to book players right on top of each other. Shouldnt take 4 hours to play 13 holes.
Great Value
This course was fairly priced. The course is in great shape. The course is challenging, but very fair. There are basically no blind shots and the fairways are fairly open. I really enjoy playing this course.
Great Course in Great Shape
Course conditions were excellent, making for a great round of golf. Get out and play here when you can.
Nice little course
Few holes very easy or short. Greens were in good shape and fast. Bunkers need new sand. Fairways decent and tee box were good.
Do not go to Walen Ponds
After paying for a Senior Pass, with the PROMISE that it included a round of golf, I went there today (knowing that the weather was "iffy"). As it turned out the weather was going to be impossible for our 9:00 AM tee time. When I asked for a "rain check" for the round of golf included with the Senior Pass purchase, I was informed that it would NOT be honored. Their GM - Andrew Crum - has absolutely NO customer relations skills. I will NEVER play this course again.
The Usual
As always, the course is in great shape for this time of the year. Aeration will be gone in a week and the greens are running great so far with the little sunlight we have had.
Beautiful Day
My wife and I played 18 for our second outing of the year. Course was in great shape except that the greens were still recovering from aeration. The wide selection of tees will let anyone feel comfortable with the distance.
My one negative is that on a couple of holes the smell of geese droppings and somewhat stagnate water was a bit overpowering.
Love this course!!!
I know a lot of folks who don't care for this type of course meaning the houses mostly but the way I figure it if your afraid of the houses then your not seasoned enough to play here!!! Overall the course always seems to be in great condition except for the occasional goose droppings loaded greens at times, but hey it's nature I guess!!!
great course for what i paid
good course, rained a lot overnight, but they kept the greens running well. most holes have plenty of character and challenge. definitely recommend to all
Great place to play.
During this round it was cart path only leading to over a 5 hour round. Otherwise the course was in good shape even though it was still wet from a previous rainstorm.
A little soggy....
We played after the course had received nearly 1/2" of rain the night before. Though the fairways were a bit soft, the greens were still firm and rolled great. Got a great deal on GolfNow and the staff was outstanding.
Very Nice Course
Although it was 79 degrees outside, this course became very challenging with the 25 mph winds. With the weather we have had, i was also surprised to see the course was very well maintained. I would recommend this course to any golfer regardless of skill set.
good for winter conditions
course was almost empty due to chill and breeze. Cart path only restriction was not fully necessary, but winter time staffing apparently prevents them from selectively marking the "no carts" zones.

Great condition- only bad thing was it was cart path only but it was wet in the fairways.
I did not play on the 20th. Mistake was made on the date. Did not play till the 21st. I called on the 21st and cancelled my golfing for the 20th.

Great course for the money!
Very playable course for all skill levels. Staff is very friendly. I think it is one of the best values in the Cincinnati area.
Great Fall Course.
Greens great, fairways recovering from aeration. Bunkers superb. Can't fault the course for this time of year in Ohio. PLUS carts ONLY on path on Par 3's and 2 par 4s.
Bring your putting game!
Beautiful course from tee to green. This course was very challenging especially the greens. Would not recommend a beginner on this course. Had a blast! Will play again!
