Cut the fairways
The biggest downfall was that the fairways were not cut. There was no difference between the fairway and the rough. By the time we got to the back 9 they were at least cutting it but they had two regular lawn tractors. The tractors were in the way most of the back 9 where some of the grass was long and some short. We played on friday of July 4th weekend so you'd think they would have had the grass done thursday. we didn't hit the back 9 until 2pm so it's not like we were the early birds on a day almost everyone has off. A friend was playing with yellow and orange balls and still lost a few just off the fairway.
Got a sausage at the turn and could barely bite through it, it was that tough. I must say the staff was awesome and for the most part we had a good time. we drove almost an hour to play so it was a little disappointing. I would probably still play there again.
Average
its a decent course. Not very many people playing on a Saturday (it was 4th of July). Course is not too challenging, had 2 holes (7 and 8) that were nothing like every other whole and almost didn't belong.
Fun
It's a fun course to play and the staff is super friendly!
Fun Course
I enjoy this course. The staff is friendly and you can get a round in fairly quickly. The front nine is fun and a bit more challenging with wooded areas and water hazards, but the back nine is more open with much longer holes. Overall the grass is ok. I feel like there isn't much of a disparity between the fairway and rough, both are a bit of a challenge to hit out of.
Improving, VG greens
improving for the better each time we play there, greens were great, still have a lot of clover, but in all a great time golfing.
Bang for Your Buck
My golf partner and I were warmly greeted upon arrival by Frank, the Course Manager. He welcomed us to the course and explained all the great deals and events they are currently running. We paid for our nine-hole greens fee and were on our way! The course is great for those looking to work on and develop their game, as it is not a difficult course. The greens and tee boxes were well kept. The only minor complaint I would offer concerns the fairways. They are cut short, but not the length a typical fair should be cut. Other than this issue the course was great and made for a great outing!
Golf course
This course was in pretty good condition for the price of the round. The pro was extremely nice and helpful.
Fantastic Course
This was my second time playing this course and I was just as impressed the second time I played it as I was the first time I played it. The course is in great shape. There are both easy holes on the course and hard holes so it makes for an enjoyable round of golf. Staff friendliness is amazing with one gentleman taking his time to answer a few questions I had. I played with my two boys and my younger son was still talking about how wonderful of a time he had two days later, cannot beat that.
nice
great deal! $10. nice hidden gem. greens rolled well for April. fairways not plush but if you roll the ball who cares. no one was on the course. great practice spot.
good for the money
overall course was in good shape the greens were a little spongythey get better as the year goes on so fun course to play I really enjoyed it
Not worth the drive
If I lived across the street from this course, of course I'd play it. But definitely not worth making a drive from Cleveland. Need to do better with the upkeep. Couldn't tell fairways from rough. Very flat. Not enough challenges. Plenty of water but none put in a challenging locations. Golf carts didn't have windshields. Tee box's were not cut. Not enough effort put into the course. Too many better courses out here for what I paid to play there. Even cheaper.
A course that makes you think. Love it!
I was completely blown away by this course! It's early in the season, but the course was in fine shape considering 2 weeks ago it had 4 feet of snow covering it. It was a balmy 34 degrees when I teed off and I was just happy it was open. Frank made me feel very welcome and took a few extra minutes to give me a rundown about the course and some of the events they have during the season. I was very impressed by that, never playing there and looking for places for my group to play. I found the course to be a good mix of holes that welcome you to hit some bombs off the tee and holes that make you think off the tee with some doglegs. It's not the longest or the tightest course I've played, but it really makes you think if not off the tee, but definitely your approaches. Really easy to get to from the eastern suburbs of Cleveland in maybe 45 minutes using 480. I look forward to playing there again soon!
I like this place
Second time I drove out from Strongsville to play here. Enjoy the course and the staff is always pleasant. If you don't come out your missing a nice place to play. Look to get back out before they close.
Overall decent course
the course was pretty straightforward. 2 L shaped holes were interesting. Yardage markers are all white stakes. Inside and outside staff nice. Please get logo balls for collectors!
fall golf
fairways were in great condition.even though the greens were previously aerated the were in good shape and fairly fast.
Nicelayout, lots of doglegs
Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways not the greatest but well mowed and maintained. Pace was great, why don't more people play here? Great value!
great course
This course is perfect for new golfers and veterans. The greens are fair and in good condition. The course plays fairly tough from the Blue tees and pin placement can be difficult for close approach shots.
Course has made improvements since spring
Work on the course has shown good improvement. Greens were in good shape and most of the fairways were well defined.
Great course
Staff was friendly and course was in great shape. Awesome value
Good Old Country Style
Weeds are all over the fairways and roughs but greens are very nice and smooth. Several dogleg holes(#7, #8, and #18) are fun to play.. It was very good course for my wife to practice.
