Heather Downs Country Club

Was stuck behind a group of 4 older people, one of which was a woman, and some of them were members. I was playing as a single and the group ahead of me was playing with another group of 4 ahead of them. Took me almost 4 hours to play! Usually can golf 18 in 2.5-3 hours! On the bright side, the weather was nice and people behind me were nice and agreed that it was ridiculous that they didn’t let me through. Probably won’t be back for awhile.

Have played this course numerous time’s the last couple years. The staff is as good as there is in the Toledo Ohio area. Today it was my son and I who played and enjoyed every minute. The only drawback was the two groups ahead of us being a foursome and a twosome who both struggled to allow our faster group to play through. The course could be better served to occasionally have a marshal make a course visit to assist slow play.

Again, the staff both inside and outside are as nice and helpful as any course we play during the year and are to be commended !

former country club now a public course. very busy but pace was good!

Look...this course is okay, but definitely not what you may be expecting when you think “country club.” For the price we paid using a hot deal ($30) it was definitely worth it, but I wouldn’t pay much more than that to play here. That pretty much sums it up. Great for $30, but look elsewhere if you have to pay closer to $40 or more. I clicked “yes” to indicate that I would recommend this course to a friend because there was no neutral option, but as I said above, it depends on the deal.

Course was in great shape for the end of November. Tough course with some beautiful views.

like the course but starting tee times right after the final tee time of a high school girls tournament really slowed things down for the first 9 holes.

A lot of leaves on the course including the fairways and they have only just begun to fall. Really tough to find your ball.

Otherwise the course is in pretty good shape.

Nice course with lots of trees. Greens were a little hard and could’ve been in better shape. Fairways were decent. Overall, a pretty course with some challenging holes.

$46 for this course??? Can do much better for less in the area. I asked about price and the worker said "people come all the time from Cleveland saying they can't touch o course like this in their area for less than $20 more". They can have it. Greens were decent but everything else was like concrete. Much of fairways burned out. Teed off on time and had to wait on the 2nd tee box, and thereafter every hole. 5-1/2 hours and jumped a group the was 2 holes behind and would not let us play through. Will be last $ I ever spend at this course.

Staff was not friendly or helpful. We were behind a group of four that was 2 hours off pace and nothing was done about it. My group drove in after 12 holes because it had already been 4 hours. We advised the pro shop of our experience and no refund or discount was offered. The course not well maintained. Most tee boxes were uneven and full of patches. The greens were in pretty decent shape for the most part. Overall, I would not recommend playing here. I would go to Maumee Bay if you’re playing in the Toledo area.
