Great condition. Awful pace.

Most expensive public course in the area per round. Conditions of course warrant cost.

Pace of play was terrible. I don’t understand why there isn’t a starter on the box dictating commencement. Very frustrating.

Pace of play ruins course value.

Solids course

We played later in the afternoon for the twilight rate and i was happy with the price for the course. Greens are fast and in good shape, fairways were well maintained. The sand in the bunkers was very hard in all that we saw. The halfway house was closed at 4:30 even though it says 5:30 or 6:00 and there was no beer cart rolling around which is always a bummer. It was a solid course, but i dont think its worth the 100$ price tag to play in the morning.

Great course

First time playing and really enjoyed it. First 3 holes are “boring” but the course opens up and plays very nicely after 3. Some nice views and challenging holes. Tee to green the course was in great shape. Had some issue’s with the rangers and pace, they were kind of a-holes. We finished in 4:20 and never held the group up behind us, not sure why they were annoying us. The ranger must have came to us 3x about pace and each time I looked back and saw the group behind us 2 shots back. Not sure what the issue was. Regardless I wouldn’t let some clueless old ranger stop me from coming back to this beautiful well kept course again.

Must play

Played this course many times , great layout need to hit it straight in other to reach greens in regulation. Hill are steep if you pull your tee shot . Greens nice and quick . Only complaint is the range , no carts and not allowed to hit woods

Fast greens but dead grass

The course has a fun layout. It was exhausting because of overnight rain left the course as cart path only. The putting green was really fast. The course greens varied in speed with no rhyme or reason to why some were fast while others were slow. What was really concerning was dead grass all over the course. Greens, fairways, everywhere. I was told this was not normal but it was annoying. Didn’t see one ranger while out there. The group behind us kept hitting into us even though we were right on the tail of the group in front of us. Still a shade under 4.5 hrs round. All in all, nice course with good amenities and challenging layout. Solid hour drive from manhattan with no traffic.

Great place to play

Very enjoyable course. It was hard to play as one needs to pay attention to roll and pitch to get a good round going. Once understood it was challenging and enjoyable. Practise area is included and well done. It was worth the money. Would play again.

Top notch course

This was my first of two rounds that I played this day. I was the first person out on the course at about 6:15am so obviously the pace of play was excellent. It perfect weather and I finished fairly quickly. The course, as usual, was in amazing shape. Tees, fairways, and greens were A+. Other courses in the area should come here and take notes on how to make their bunkers better. The bunkers at Mansion Ridge are perfect. This course is just beautiful, and for $61 you can't beat it.

I'd highly recommend this place. It's fair. It's fun. The course is always in amazing shape, and it's visually stunning. Staff was also great. I only dealt with the starter and the guy in the pro-shop, but both were extremely friendly and nice.

Interesting holes

There are some holes where you have relatively long forced carries, so make sure you choose the right tee boxes for your level of skill or distance. The first 4 holes are relatively "linksy" but very soon you are playing in the shade of the woods. This course has some distinctive holes that will keep you on your toes. Bring some extra balls !

The rangers rule the course.

I've played this course few times and the condition of the course has never disappointed me. Nice lay out with few challenging holes. Only down fall of this course are the rangers... We were 4 some and they sent out two some after two some. I have no idea why they didn't pair them up as 4 some. After we let couple of two somes play through, ranger comes to us and tells us we need to pick up the pace,,, and from there, rangers were following us to every tee boxes and to the greens. They were rushing us even though there was no one behind us for at lease couple of holes. I think they just had nothing else to do because course wasn't that crowded that day because of the rain the previous day. The ground was very wet and it was cart path only, so it took us little longer to play the holes. My group is bogey players and by no means we are slow players. We felt like we were harassed by the rangers, and all my four some agreed not to come back to this course.
