About
Casperkill Golf Club in Poughkeepsie is situated in the heart of the Hudson River Highlands, surrounded by acres of lush, rolling countryside. The course wanders through stands of towering oak trees and circles a few tranquil ponds before moving along the banks of its namesake creek. The gently rolling hills provide the course with elevated tees and terraced greens. Robert Trent Jones designed the golf course in 1944. He created a traditional layout that fully utilizes all of the features of the scenic terrain. The course finishes with a player-friendly hole that offers a great opportunity for a birdie. There is a bunker in front of the green but if played smartly as a three-shot hole, golfers will be generously rewarded. In addition to the golf course, Casperkill also offers a driving range with multiple target greens and a large practice putting green with a chipping and bunker area.

Can’t wait to go back
Decent course to walk, a couple of hilly holes but not too bad, everything was in great shape, can’t wait for the bar and restaurant to open,
Very friendly people working there, no complaints
Nice course when dry
This course is nice when it's dry but is easily soaked if it has rained in the last 2 days.
Bang for your buck
Challenging course. Greens still recovering from aeration. Another couple of weeks and the place will be mint.
Worth a trip
Wonderful layout, challenging holes, water in play, each club egts work to do. Only thing negative: No clubhouse.
No golf carts
Payed for 18 holes cart included but no golfs carts there. Ended up walking 18 carrying bag. Not fun.

Worth the 80 minute drive
All the courses in New Jersey are closed so We picked this one, 80 minutes from my house, based on reviews I have read and the fact that it was a Robert Trent Jones design course. Couldn’t have made a better decision! The staff was fantastic. The course was in great condition and we had just a beautiful great day during the corona time.
Old School
Old school layout by Trent Jr. Really really enjoyed this layout....shot making and not head banging length needed. Everything about it was enjoyable. The woman in the pro shop was extremely nice. Golf Now had me booked but she didnt have it on her computer. Showed her confirmation and she was able to get me out quickly.
No 2 holes look or played alike, My kind of track. Not overly punishing if you keep it on the planet.
Try it...you will like it
A Challenging Walk
Played the course for the first time - - in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. A challenging course to play and walk for the first time - - and wet due to the recent rains. A good majority of the holes had either elevated greens and/or elevated tee boxes. A fun course to play and looking forward to playing it again under different conditions. I would recommend this course to any diehard golfer willing to walk this hilly terrain.
This golf course needs to call and let you guys know that you are not letting carts out the day they don't let carts out. Went to play here and was told no carts and that i need to call to get my money back. How many people have to do this rather than them just letting you know that they don't offer carts for the day

Wonderful and accommodating staff
The woman in the pro shop was very understanding and let me take a cart by myself. All staff are very pleasant on the phone and the course was in great condition, especially for this time of year. Its always nice to go to a golf course and the staff treat their customers so well.

Great friendly staff
The woman at the pro shop was so accommodating. She gave me my own cart. Even when you call the staff is always so polite and friendly. The course is awesome ans the greens were in great shape considering that it is March. Would recommend to any avid golfer.
Nice Course needs clubhouse
Course is always in good Conditions except maybe after the rain and the sand traps need work. I wish they had a clubhouse or at least a locker room with a shower.
Great layout, always a pleasure
Love the course but lot of leaves and looks like no effort to do anything about it. Saw no maintenance people the entire round.
Casperkill golf
The course was in very good shape but the restaurant /snack bar was closed on a day that the course was full of golfers.
