Classy course
I played this course for the first time on a cool and rainy winter day. Very little mud and mush despite the wet conditions. Lots of elevation changes and a bit of water keep the simple layout interesting. Great staff and nice facilities. Could do with a lot less goose poop, but the greens are mostly clean. I’ll have to go back in the spring.
First class
FROM THE START TO FINISH WAS A GREAT DAY FOR A ROUND GOLF IN NOVEMBER AT LOCH NARIN.
Great course for the money
In spite of being a holiday our pace of play was spot on expectations. We never had to wait all day either on the tee or approaching the green. Playing in the fall is hit or miss when it comes to leaf trouble. Not so here as the grounds staff had done an excellent job of keeping the fairways and adjacent rough mostly leaf free. Both the Fairways and greens were in pristine condition. The sand traps however were a bit hit or miss. I definitely would recommend Loch Nairn as a track to play this fall!
greens and fairways thumbs up.
Tee boxes could use a little work. Everything else.....A+
Well worth the drive
Good layout with a assortment of quality holes that will enable you to use most of you clubs. I'm not a big fan of doglegs but these seem to play more natural than those at other courses, if that makes any sense withe the exception of the 1st and 5th holes. Better not let up after getting to the green. Conditions are fine but be careful where you decide to tee up the ball as some of the tee were a tad uneven and a few seemed a little wet maybe from lack of sunshine do to too much tree cover. Anyway, I would make the trip from Philly any day of the week to play here.
Greens were good but faster than what I'm use to.
The course was in great shape compared to others. Even though players still don't repair ball marks, the greens were in good shape.
3.5 hr round with no one holding us up.
Nice relaxing round even with my terrible iron play.
Fast Friday
Played 20 holes in under 3:30. We ran into a 4 some repeated 2 holes and never had to wait again. Greens in great shape. Tee boxes were a little worn. One of my favorite courses.
Good course
New to golf, but based on my limit knowledge of what makes a golf course good, I think this course is very well taken care of and had some fun holes. Friendly staff as well! Only downside was no driving range
Legit
Course was beautiful, well taken care of. Only down side was no driving range
Round of Golf
This was the worst course I have played in years. It doesn't even qualify as a cow pasture because cows wouldn't set foot on it and I won't again. Fairways had bunches of grass from being cut and had numerous burnt out sections. Employees cutting the grass just continued to cut the grass as golfers approached their golf balls for the next shot which I find as disrespectful and unacceptable.
Fairways not good
Fairways are cut too close so there is no turf under what little grass there is so on iron shots about all you get is dirt. Many spots on all fairways were bare, looks like they have had a lot of rain as the fiarways were very wet.
Greens are good, no complaints.
Would not play here again
Terrible experience
Got to the course ahead of the rest of my group and figured I would putt since I don't think they have a driving range. Most of the putting green looked like cracked blacktop, along with the green on the third hole. Fairways were in horrible shape. We wanted to play a new course and this was only 30 minutes from our houses. What a mistake. 15 minute wait between shots and an absolutely poorly maintained course is what we got for 50 dollars. I wouldn't play this course again if it were free. I don't usually leave reviews but do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
