Good time, not immaculate
Loch Nairn is a good course, not a great one. Bunkers are hard packed and not kept well. Greens are decent. Fairways are relatively in good shape. It’s a good course if you don’t want to shell out $100 to play a round of quality golf! Those $100 courses are in better condition, but, a slight downgrade for half the price is a good trade off!!
Great Little Find
Really fun course layout in great condition. Given that it was a Friday afternoon in the summer, the pace of play was pretty slow, but the bar and restaurant with band on the patio, made up for that! I will absolutely go back.
Favorite Course in the Area
Course is in better shape this year then it has been in the past 5 years plus. From the pro shop to the club house to the starters to the rangers everyone is very attentive and amazing to deal with. Greens are beautiful tee boxes and fairways are solid. Besides the cart path at hole 13 and 14 that is a bit uneven due to roots growing under the asphalt and the trees on hole 16 that could use a bit of trimming I have zero complaints. Favorite course in the area and will be heart broken if it does indeed shut down after next year.
Nice Course
Nice course. The price was very fair and the employees were very helpful. I was a little disappointed in the tee boxes, they were very uneven and bare. Some of the worst I’ve seen on a course this nice
Friendly people, uneven course conditions
Played on a Sunday afternoon in June. It was enjoyable. People there are nice. Surprisingly, we zipped around in 3.5 hours. The course conditions were uneven. The course was wet. Some of the bunkers were filled with water. Tee boxes are rough. Uneven, tee-strewn, muddy. Fairways were a bit shaggy, but I’m not sure how much they have been able to cut it. In contrast, the greens were in excellent shape. Smooth and nicely kept. The course is quirky. The first hole is probably the worst on the course, but it gets better quickly. Many shortish par 4s. With a few really long par 5s mixed in. It’s pretty tight at the beginning, and opens up a bit after the first 5 holes. I would recommend this course, but I will probably try some others before I return.
