Fun course
The staff was excellent. The course was well maintained and had some interesting layouts. It was a little dangerous because all of the greens are right next to the next tee box, so you could potentially get hit with someone’s approach shot while waiting to tee off. I feel the last two holes are pretty unfair to female golfers and players that are not long off the tee. I have a back injury and cannot really hit that far anymore. Both 17 and 18 tee shots have to be 150 in the air to make it over the water from the reds and I just don’t have the club anymore. Th wildlife on the course was great and there is plenty of shade for when you have to wait to hit. Again, the staff here was fantastic. They were very personable and made it easy for first time at the course players. My daughter did miss getting her hotdog at the turn because the food shuts down at 4, but that’s understandable.
Loch Nairn
Great course. Some of the best greens I have ever played, challenging and manicured very well.
Tee Boxes
The track was on par for a public course, the tee boxes were uneven and showed a lot of wear and tear. The bunkers were decent with plenty of sand and the greens were almost perfect. The corse needs a killer bit of help but not too much. Overall I enjoyed my experience as I have played here before, and I would play here again.
Really nice but Tee boxes & cart path need improvement.
I am gong to place a star assessment to each area i reviewed
OVERALL 3.5 STARS ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ & ½⭐
Overall this is a nice golf course and I would go back.... but i will identify the issues with the course.
STAFF. (5 STAR-⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐)
The staff person I interacted with was friendly, understanding as I was a little late for my tee time and accommodating as found me a slot quickly and made sure I was okay with it.
COST TO PLAY (3 ⭐⭐⭐)
l felt the cost was a little high as i paid slightly less at a nearby course which was impeccably maintained. (Although other places back 9 is potentially more difficult).
TEE BOXES. ( 1 STAR -⭐ )
The signage at the tee boxes are not good... they are not visible enough, no real information about hole (info is on score card... don't like score card either as too big, bland). Tee hole grass could use some love but hitting off a Tee most of the time.
CART PATH (3 STARS⭐⭐⭐)
The cart path at places were good, okay and bad... average most of the time but some areas need attention.
BRIDGES ON CARTPATH(2 STAR⭐⭐)
There are wooden connecting bridges on cart path almost all were sturdy enough but a couple needed fixing as there should be no cracked boards on something you have to drive over)
FAIRWAY, ROUGH & HOLES
(3⭐⭐⭐ . ½ ⭐)
The course grass is nice and well maintained. The rough was fair and not overly abundant. The holes were average with some very good and others just average condition.
COURSE LAYOUT
(3.5 STARS-⭐⭐⭐&½⭐)
Challenging course (at least for me who still considers myself as bit very good) as there are several holes with bends to the left and right prior getting to the flag which is typical for the courses in the area. There are 1 or 2 well placed water features but not too problematic.
Again I would play here again, but this is a nice course, but a little overpriced .
Sorry no photos taken.
Playing loch narin
Nice course , greens were good just need to play better
Would play again!
A bit windy today but lots of sun added to the pleasure of playing Loch Nairn today. Nice elevation changes and dog legs scattered among mostly straighter paths. Some hidden water hazards tempted my discourse, but we enjoyed the round thoroughly. A few of the tee boxes were a bit barren but the greens ran quick and true and the fairways in great shape. Afterwards the pub afforded us the opportunity to enjoy the view while savoring the crab cake that the accented waiter, a great guy, provided on a bun versus the dinner choice. A burger to my wife with sides of sweet potato fries and cold Victory barley pop. Well done, and will return again!
Great staff and nice course layout
This course would've received an excellent rating if it weren't for the Tee boxes. Fairways and greens 2 thumbs up. More TLC for the Tee boxes is needed. I'll still keep coming back.
Greens are amazing
Overall the course is in great shape. The greens were very impressive!
Great for the money
I loved the course even though it had poured the night before. The staff was super friendly and wanted to make sure we had a great time!! Their main priority was making you feel welcome! It was pretty Ickes but their was a dander on hand making sure the pace of play was up to par! I feel
Like everyone who work there was very genuine and it was an all-around great atmosphere and experience! I would definitely recommend this course to any of my friends!
Great course, it had rained and the course doesn’t drain great, but other than that, fun little course. I will definitely be back
