Would have been good to know this in advance...and greens fees should be discounted accordingly
Nice course
Decided to play a round last minute and booked on GolfNow. Staff were very friendly and paired me with another solo golfer (Tom, great guy). First time playing and wasn't disappointed. Course was in decent shape and provided some challenging holes. Would definitely recommend and play again.
Very Nice Course
Course was very good, good hazard location. Only issue was the pace of play. Had to wait at the tee box because of the foursome in front of my group would stand and talk instead of teeing off on every hole. Also felt rushed because the 2 groups behind us would in turn be waiting for my group to tee off.
What happened???
Well, I had played this course about 5 weeks ago and it was a little wet, but the course conditions were good..I thought the greens were not bad then, BUT NOW??? DID THEY LOSE THEIR GREENSKEEPER? I can accept the tees were chopped up and the fairways were average, but tge front nine greens were the worst I have wver seen. Not a lot of grass on the greens, and no putt was true. Ball would just roll wherevee as not enough grass on the green to be fair. Back nine at least had 5 of the greens were better, and could at least manage to hit the putts semi to where they should go. I hope they put more $$ into the greens as I am not going back until I hear otherwise. I have played all year on fast and slow greens, and have managed even far more difficult courses. I hit 11 greens in regulation today and had 52 putts! First time EVER exceeded 40 putts as I have played Merion and Oakmont and have done awesome. Seriosly, the 2 guys I played with said they were unplayable and were just giving 5 foot putts to avoid frusttation. I got so mad that I drove to another course in Phoenixville, Pa and played 18 more holes on normal greens which were lightning fast, but the ball rolled true...carded a 81 with 29 putts..now I feel better.
Its ok
I usually will play later in the day and walk 9. For $18 cant beat it. Hit two or 3 shots off the tee. Course is not the greatest but it is not awful either
