Legacy Golf Links
About
Legacy Golf Links is one of the premier public golf facilities in the Pinehurst area - the course successfully blends the accessability of a public course with the amenities of a private golf club.
Legacy was ranked as one of the top 12 new public courses in the United States and is described as a "perfect delight" by Golf Digest Magazine. Maintenance is a prime consideration of the management and the facility definitely reflects this emphasis. Give this course a try the next time you come to Pinehurst; you'll not regret it.

Clubhouse closed for construction - porta-toilets in the parking lot. Lots of tee box issues, and signs say new boxes "coming soon". Many cups were set incorrectly leaving top edge above the surface.
Overall disappointing for the price charged.
Wished I would’ve known!
Legacy is a beautiful layout and I will definitely play it again. Now for the tough love. Please communicate that the course, clubhouse and general facilities are going through major reconstruction. Cart paths and most of course is like a war zone. Knowing this before paying a premium price would have manage our expectations.
Secondly, our groups were blended into a Memorial Day member scramble. It was so painfully slow (6+ hour pace) and we were ready to leave until the three foursomes ahead us left after 13 holes. Again, the course and Golf Now needs to manage customers’ expectations and communicate pace of play and course conditions. Disappointed in the experience but will play it again after all their planned construction is completed.
The 18th was the challenge of the roune
One of the joys of playing Legacy isn't just navigating the undulating terrain or holding your breath as your approach shot flirts with disaster on the island green at the 18th—it's the people you meet along the way.
If you're the type who enjoys golf as both a game and a conversation starter, Legacy’s welcoming vibe is tailor-made for you
On any given day, you might find yourself partnered with a retired schoolteacher who’s convinced he can still stripe a drive 250 yards (bless his optimism), a weekend warrior working out the latest mechanical flaw in his swing, or even someone who—purely by coincidence—shares the name of a top-ten PGA Tour player. We would tell you which one, but privacy laws prevent us from exposing this stranger to the pressures of living up to his coincidental namesake. (Let’s just say his short game was not at risk of threatening any major championship leaderboards.)
Hidden Gem!!!
Everyone that worked there was really nice! The course is beautiful & in great shape! We will definitely play there again!
A lot of work has been put into the course and can’t wait to see the final product and the renovated club house.
Not worth it
This course is not worth a $100+ greens fee. Right now, the course is under major construction efforts. Cart paths varied from smooth pavement, rough pavement, bumps, sand or non-existent. The golf shop and snack counter are currently located in a metal shipping like container, while the club house is under major renovation. We were told they expect the club house to open in July. The fairway grass varied from good to numerous bare patches. The greens were average, with many previous cup cuts causing rough ball rolls. Ball washers were out of water on some holes as well as some water coolers on the course being empty. A few holes had temporary tee boxes.
We played this course in previous years, and it was a great course with good amenities. Right now, it is a major disappointment. We will not return any time soon.
Great course - under construction
Great course, I would play again. The course is under construction. They are putting a ton of money into this course but it's already spectacular. The staff are the best, friendly and upbeat.
Nice layout
Interesting course. Some of the tees were under renovation but still playable . Par 3 played similar which were a little boring. Overall solid course. Will try to be back in the fall to see changes and play it again. Definite play if you are in the area.
Great course great staff
Great course, great staff working there.A lot of construction.
Hot deal , great value!
Enjoyed playing the course for the first time and definitely will play again. Once all the renovations are completed will be one of my favorite to play while visiting the area!
