Legacy Golf Round 3
Great day. Arrived early to enjoy driving range and putting prior to round. Staff welcomed as though I had played there more than 3 times. Great visual course set among houses and woods. Layout was challenging for me however broad fairways and challenging water placement made for an enjoyable day. Greens were fast and fair. Fairways presented opportunities to hit away - but do take caution as they seemed to narrow just where my ball was falling to the ground. Challenging holes, especially 9, 10, 11, 17 and 18. My favorite course to date in NC
Legacy Golf round 2
Great day for golf, staring on the driving range, then on to the course. Even the threat of rain could not dampen the day. Pace was great until the 6th hole when it slowed, however the setting and scoring opportunities made for a pleasant day. Course is in great shape. Enjoy.
2 or 22
One of my favorite courses. The layout is terrific The greens were quick but true. I only downgraded amenities because this the age of COVID-19 and that’s not their fault. Highly recommend this course
Great. course
Beautiful course. Very challenging, but not unfair. Some fairly narrow fairways.
Slow Play Day
Course was in good condition,, especially the greens. Good layout that will make you use all your clubs. Had a couple of foursomes in front of us that really took their time, so we were over 4 hrs 45 minutes. Still an enjoyable day.
Okay, but a little overpriced
Place is a bit overpriced for what it has to offer. Most places in this price range offer range balls before you play.
Course was okay. I was holding a bit of water which is fair because it had stormed the few days prior. Besides the water, nothing truly special about the layout.
Legacy Golf Links Round 1
Excellent and challenging course for me. Water on and along several holes. Great views with undulations and dog legs that challenge your distance control. Greens are in great shape as are fairways. Several signature holes over water and along, including #12 and 18. Fairways slope and necessitate shot shapes that take advantage and not penalize. Can not wait to play again.
Legacy Round 1
Excellent course in great shape. Water galore and challenging. Well laid out to challenge and reward golfers. Payed from the Blues. Blacks look too challenging for my length while whites significantly different in few fairways. Greens in perfect shape. Fairways perfect. Your challenge is to pay to the center as edges can result in lost opportunities. Great views. Personnel are engaging and helpful. Amenities are fine, given Covid restrictions but experience will be hightened once these are lifted.
Nice Sandhills Course
Nicely designed course with interesting elevation changes on many of the holes. Having played many courses in the Pinehurst area I would rank this course among many of the 5 star tracks. It's a course you can play often and find it challenging every time...I will return to play it again.
Not sure what happened here?!
This is the first time I’ve ever seen this course in this kind of shape..to say the greens are awful would be an understatement. This has been a favorite for the last few years and I love the layout! The fairways are more like the rough and even many tee boxes need love as well! This is the first time I’ve played this course and it’s like this(10 rounds). I’ve played in every season. I know they have spent a ton of money on the facilities doing a remodel. I hope the course gets the love next because I would hate to see this place deteriorate! I will be back but not this year and will amend in the spring once all the courses in the area are getting out of winter hibernation.
Challenging Value 4 5 stars
Practice area had everything you needed....range, chipping area, practice bunker, putting green.
I played from white tees....6021 yards, 123 slope. I normally play from 6200-6300 yards but the white tees were enough of a challenge for me. My normal score is 83. I shot 42-47.
Challenging layout with a wonderful collection of par 3's that will test your shotmaking. Back 9 a little more interesting. Greens a good speed and smooth. Rolly course with nice elevation changes and scenic water views. #18 a pretty, but tough finishing par 4. No GPS on carts.
Wish I would have known that #10 doesn't start near the clubhouse. No halfway house and didn't see a cart girl all day. Only thing keeping this course from being 5 stars was the conditions. Some areas were a little soggy as they evidently don't drain well. I'm being picky. To be fair, the area has received heavy rains recently.
For the $50 we paid for a mid morning Monday round, the value can't be beat. If I lived in the area this course would be my everyday go to.
My son and I played 4 courses on our trip. Ranking them from least to best......Legacy, Talamore, Mid South, Talamore. Legacy a 4.5 star, not far behind the other three 5 star courses.
Legacy, the unexpected gem.
We had never played Legacy before. We were looking for a nice place to play on our return trip home and came upon this through the Golf Now app.
This course did not disappoint! We played from the blue tees which certainly stretched out the par three carries over water, but there are tee selections for all levels. The greens were fantastic and the course condition was 10/10.
We played early morning and arrived well before our tee time to hit balls, however, the starter informed us of a group that would be going off and if we wanted to go early we could. (we still had a 6.5 hr drive ahead of us) Great call on his part. The two of us were able to play in under 4hrs.
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will certainly make this a stop again.
Great course in the Pinehurst Area.
Grey layout and perfect golf course for the amateur golfer with great views.
