Gilbertsville Golf Club is a public, 27-hole layout in New Hanover Township. The holes are divided into three different nines called the Red, White, and Blue. The nines sprawl across the rolling hills of Montgomery County, which is most apparent on the most challenging of the three, the Blue Course. The Red and White, the club's original 18 holes, have a more traditional layout while the Blue Nine, which was added 30 years later, is more modern with rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. Surprisingly the Blue is the shortest of the three golf courses but it feels longer due to the constant up-and-down. Golfers will encounter a number of tricky lies on this nine and there is also water coming into play on nearly every hole.

Made a few craters on the greens and happily used the repair tool. Unfortunately choked on my few birdie putts. Photo submitted by u000007953538 on 11/18/2013

One of my favorites
Started playing golf at Gilbertsville a couple years ago and always make sure to come back a few times a year, even though it's almost an hour away!
For this round, the weather was great and parking lot was packed but moved pretty quick. Played with a partner and finished 18 in 3.5 hours (blue to white) and then paid to finish another 9 and played the red course. Fairways are always in great shape, greens were rolling out well even after rain the previous day, bunkers are usually decent but a little wet this round.
The layout is perfect for a beginner or intermediate player, flat for the most part, some long holes that offer a chance to hit a good drive and shorter par fours to have a good shot at par or birdie.
For the price and the friendliness of the staff, you definitely get your money's worth here!
I've always enjoyed the layout!
I've always enjoyed the layout and and the 27 holes makes pace of play much better than some other courses. The course is well manicured, especially for being a public course and I've noticed several changes made to try to improve the aesthetics and just to keep the course updated. The one clubhouse house that is there in the morning and early afternoon can be moody, but he's never directly rude.
Beautiful Course
Just learning golf. Even though it takes 45 minutes to get here, I would gladly drive to this beautiful, well maintained course. Looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the good work.
Nice 27-hole course. A little angel investment to spruce up the place would be nice, but it's always a pretty good time here. Staff is friendly, and the course is pretty decent. You can always find pretty good golfnow deals for Gilbertsville GC too, so that's a plus (but even without deals, the course is fairly priced).
A Must Play Venue
Red-White-Blue: Three 9's to choose from… All three are completely different, yet equally challenging, yet fair. From the time you get there and are greeted by the staff to it the first tee when you look out at the spectacular views… You will be happy you made the call and have chosen to play Gilbertsville . In this area, it's definitely a 4 1/2 star out of five golf course! Check it out… You'll be happy you did!
Not for handicapped
Had a discount coupon I bought on line. Course '"MANAGER " would not let carts off paths, even for HANDICAPPED ( I have an artificial leg)players. Would not honor FREE HOT DOG & SODA because I had a coupon. Nice course, nice lady behind hot dog, soda counter, she makes the rating one star higher. It's their course & they can handle the business as they see fit, just don't go there on a damp day.
Great Course to Walk at Any Time
Gilbertsville Golf Club is as golfer friendly a course as you will find in this area. It is a great course to walk and you can walk at any time; weekend walking rate is only $39.
The course has three nines so the pace of play is good even at peak times. The greens are well maintained. The course is suitable for all skill levels as it plays from as much as 6500 yards to as little as 4500 yards.
good value and fun to play
thegreens had been aerated and did not know till arriving at first green.......should at least advise that and guess that was reason for reduced price.....was still worth it and enjoyed the day
I'll be back
Rained pretty much the entire time I was out but the course was in great condition. I will be back to challenge the course in dry conditions. Nice fairways, tee boxes and greens
very nice people running value priced course
Gilbertsville has three 9s, which presents nice variety. A little rough around the edges: cart paths; carts. Those don't matter to how the course plays though. Tees are flat and covered with grass, fairways are well kept with very little clover, rough is even and lush though with more dandelions than they'd want, and the bunkers have the red clay indigenous to the area. The strength of Gville is the greens: manicured; smooth; subtly contoured; receptive.
The people running the place are also terrific: accommodating; helpful; really make you feel welcome.
In truth there are more challenging courses in the immediate area, but Gville is well positioned as a nice place to play at a reasonable price, making it a great spot for beginners as well as for your pack of friends looking for a good time at a good price.
