Top tier course
It has been at least a year since I played at Crossing. The greens are in great condition and the fairways good with some weeds. A challenging course for an average player. I strongly recommend this course for value for the money and overall quality of course.
Early season
Grass is still greening up in the fairways, kinda spotty. Greens are in good shape. Slower than other courses in the area. No real rough yet to be concerned with. Ball will roll a ways in rough and fairway.
Crossings
Course was decent, no driving range though. This was really a 3 star course but the staff makes it a 4-5 star…very friendly people. I’d come back. Few greens and bunkers need a little TLC
5 hour 20 min round
Course is overall in great shape for early spring. But a 5 hour and 20 min round is horrible. Pace of play is crawling. Waiting two back on every tee box.
Solid Course in East Durham
The course is great. I love the layout. The back 9 is amongst the toughest in the Raleigh-Durham area. The greens were running decent speed. Tee boxes could use some TLC. A true downside is there is no driving range. They should invest in some hitting bays (like a batting cage).
Cold Day of Golf
Winter conditions, greens slow and patchy. Sand traps not raked, weedy and hard packed. This course needs some maintenance and hopefully to conditions will improve as the weather warms. The course is interesting and I would give it another chance.
One of my favorite courses in the area
Awesome owner and staff. Course is always is great shape and challenging layout.
Great Course and great play day
It was a perfectly warm winter afternoon just a bit windy, but the course was in great condition coming out of winter. Pace of play was nice. The greens were a bit slow but, all-in-all, I’d recommend this course.
Cancelled and Charged
wouldn’t know what the course was like was charged 140$ and never played and I cancelled and still charged. Joke
Nope
Not worth what I paid. Much better courses in Durham. Staff were not friendly except restaurant person she was great.
The Crossings
Course was in good shape. Greens were pretty quick but fair. Only issue was the number of ball marks left unrepaired on the greens.
Sometimes it’s not about golf it’s about courtesy
Sometimes it’s not about golf it’s about courtesy. What a lovely day today in terms of the weather and being able to get out and play golf. I don’t mind playing a five ++ hour round but it didn’t need to be a five + hour around today with a foursome in front of us who were constantly at hole behind just didn’t really care about their slow pace of play. They were part of a large group that teed off around 11 AM. This started from the third hole, and their deliberate slow play continue that way the rest of the round. What’s worse is that they play from the tips but couldn’t hit a ball 150 yards straight. Every hole it must’ve been about 7 to 8 shots. I love the fact that America is land of the free and people can do whatever they want, but America is also about common decency don’t you think. If you are a golfer and you’re playing slow, it’s common decency to let the group through or just pick up the pace. I didn’t need to be a five hour around even though the day was a beautiful day. And the Crossing did nothing about this. I guess once they collected their green fees, They could care less. I will not come back to this place and play.
