The Landing at Pleasant Point

Pros:

I really enjoy playing this course. It has a great layout. A lot of variety in hole design. Nothing too challenging, which works for me since I’m not very good. Some great marsh views. And for a neighborhood course, there are a lot of holes with no houses to be seen.

Cons:

Course conditions are not great. Though they have improved since the last time I played. Most of the greens played very true with a couple exceptions. Generally pace of play is good at this course, but had some bottlenecking going on today.

Overall:

You can’t beat it for the price. This is the course you go to if you just want to relax and have fun playing golf.

this is a course that the owners are slowly bringing back. a good layout of short and long 3,4, and 5 pars with beautiful low country views through out. while the fairways were thin, needing time to come in, the greens rolled quick. another reviewer complained about the staff not being friendly, on the contrary they were great, getting me out before a twosome of beginners who were already on the tee box.

Have played this course several times. When I arrived for tee time I met an older lady in parking lot. She made the comment that she thought it was stupid for people wanting to play golf in wet conditions. She was nasty and unprofessional. I had planned on becoming a member, but no longer intend to. She was the person checking us in.

This time around the greens and fairways were in much better condition. Keep up the effort. Thank you.

Love playing this course friendliest staff I have ever associated with

Have played this course a couple times. Love the course super friendly staff

I only played the first 7 holes on the back 9. Grass was growing over the cups on the greens. The front nine greens were covered with sand. The course should be closed when major repairs are being completed. The back nine greens could have been mowed. I probably won't return for a while.

Nice course, but a little disappointing. The clubhouse wasn’t open when we arrived, and once it was, the staff was very rude. Also, the course wasn’t in the greatest shape, and the greens were extremely slow. It they are going to advertise this a a hidden gem, they might want to work at it a little better.

Course is in much better shape than last year when I played. Greens were pretty slow, but in decent condition. Tee boxes were in good condition. Driving range was pretty rough and most of the range balls have been ran over by a mower more than once. If you can get a hot deal, definitely take advantage. If not, check out some of the other courses in the area that are in much better shape for the exact same price.

Beautiful course that was also very fun to play. Had some very challenging holes, but also some holes that were scorable. Very nice staff and good course conditions. Seen a baby alligator and lots of other wildlife. Definitely would recommend if in the area. The course is quite a long drive from Hilton Head.

We really enjoyed our round there. Great scenery including abundant low country wildlife. Course was in good shape and my daughter and I were able to play without being pushed. Will definitely play again when in town.

Excellent staff great course and will definitely go back

The course conditions are pretty coarse, lots of hard pan. Not good if you are playing them down. The greens are quick but have some weed that gets in the way. The staff is great, pace of play is quick since it is not crowded. Very dusty, some big alligators in the ponds so be careful.

Very good course for the price with lots of birds, turtles, and gators along the way to add to the enjoyment. However, most of the time it was like hitting off of hard pan. Hopefully grass will be better in the spring.

Course is in awful shape. The tee boxes are non existent. You might as well aim for the rough because you will get a better lie than in the fairway. The greens literally have bare spots that are nothing but dirt. The lady in the pro shop is the most unfriendly person I have dealt with in a long time. There are tons of better options nearby. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
