About
Located just outside of Columbia, The Windermere Club sits along the banks of the lake that it takes its name from. Pete Dye designed the golf course, crafting a number of memorable holes. It's his only design in the Midlands. No two holes are alike on this challenging layout, so expect to use every club in your bag. The golf course offers a variety of risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to both low and high handicappers. There are also five, and sometimes six, tee boxes on every hole, making the golf course even more appealing for any skill level. The fairways are generous but lined with mature hardwoods and there are strategically placed bunkers to contend with. Golfers at The Windemere Club will also encounter subtle but tricky elevation changes and several lakes and ponds.

The greens were perfect; staff was very friendly. Cart paths are the worst I have experienced. They need a Marshall to increase pace of play.
Great course, greens were excellent
Have played this course many times and it did not disappoint this time. They replaced the greens some time ago and boy have they come in. Probably the best greens in the area. My opinion.
Great value
Course is one of Pete Dye’s lesser known courses. Course was in great condition amid the season. Greens rolled true and were in good condition. Fairways and tee boxes were also in good condition. Other than some minor construction on the first hole the course was great. Highly recommend playing the course.
Fall Conditions
I'm sure in prime season this course is excellent. At this time of the season ( grasses have gone dormant) the course was rough. I would love to play it in season.
Beautiful Residential Course
Played after a gap of 6 months. The Course is in excellent shape for the price. It is a beautiful and challenging course to play it if playing for the first 5 times.
Overall the course was in good shape. The greens were awesome, the best I have seen them over the past three years. Will definitely be coming back.
Love the course
Great layout and greens were in good shape. But …got stuck behind a captain’s choice tourney and last 5-6 holes took forever. Great course. One of my favs in midlands …
Fun and challenging layout in decent shape
Super friendly staff. Greens were in very good shape. Some fairways were a little “weedy”. Overall a positive experience!
Great Potential
This course is very challenging. It’s one of the best layouts I’ve ever played. Lots of water and well placed sand bunkers. The bad is lots of weeds but not horrible. Cart paths need to be redone and those trees that is causing the problem cut done. The staff was great but need better sandwiches and hotdogs. I’m definitely playing this course again.
