First round here in 3 years
Starter got me right out and Pro Shop very friendly. Been 3 years since I have played here and I seem to remember course was in much better condition back then. I love the layout. Very fair course. Maintenance on the course was very friendly. Fun day.. Hopefully it will not be 3 years before I make it back for another round. I will say I hope it gets back to what my memory of this course was. I’m sure it will be very soon. It is a fun course to play and you will use most of your clubs. That’s a good thing.
Fun course
Fun course with good greens. Fairways ran out pretty good due to dry conditions, but don't think they have came in fully. Had some clumpy grass knobs all over. Overall good round.
Excellent Golf Course
I played this course for the first time recently and has become my favorite public course in the area. Some really neat holes with a mountainous feel to the course with plenty of elevation changes. The condition of the course was good and the greens rolled true. Especially fun was #16 a 350y downhill par 4 to peninsula green (see pic), which my brother drove and 2-putt for birdie. We will be back!
Terrible
The course Pro was an absolute jerk. We were told to allow someone we did not know to play with us and not even asked. We were absolutely treated horrible because we would not play with anyone else because of good reasons. Would never play there again. The Pro also said that he did not want us back again, to not come back. We did play but this experience completely ruined our day.
Links O'Tryon
We ccx were a twosome and a very slow foursome in front of us refused to let us play through. We left a single behind us play through and the previously mentioned foursome didn't let him play through either. ZERO IDEA OF GOLD ETIQUETTE. Very frustrating. The sad part is the face that they had a Marshall in the course. Golfers should learn golf etiquette BEFORE being allowed to play. Freaking clueless golfers are the one thi g that gets me riled up. By the way, they were horrible.
When you deal with stupid golfers like you describe that are either ignorant or arrogant or both, just pass them after they tee off and play the next hole ahead if open, you won't be frustrated by them and you're better off.
Better than average
Tee boxes need a little more grass ,greens rolling well little hard but consistent pace was good for as many folk that were out

Being friendly enough to play with others is just standard golf etiquette.
I agree with the club pro, you ought to stay home if you're fearful and unfriendly of others.
