Links O'Tryon

Be prepared to walk for 8 out of 18 holes. The members are not too friendly and they definitely are not female golfer friendly. I was a single player and they was a foursome in front of me with members and they refused to let me play through.

This is course out in the boonies in a standalone neighborhood that seems out of place and in the wrong era. Course is typical 80s bermuda course. Too short by today's standards and all the money is gone!. Perhaps the slowest greens I have ever putted on. I have seen driving ranges that were cut shorter.

Huge signs all over the place saying "No personal beverages and no personal coolers." Probably 4 signs in the parking lot that are big enough that people in airplanes can read. No cart girl anywhere....good thing it wasn't hot, I like to at least drink a sip of water during a 5 hour round.

Even Bigger signs all over the course - don't step a foot in anyone's yard to retrieve a ball. I mean seriously, what wackadoo buys a house on a golf course at 220-260 off the tee and expects privacy. The course and the golfers are what adds value to your frozen in time 1980s neighborhood.

The neighborhood is a good reflection of the real estate market right now. Lots everywhere for sale. Seemed like a good idea, never finished, probably ran out of money. No real focus on what the community should be....lots of older people living there that probably regret retiring there and can't sell to get out.

I was a single and was sent off as a single at 10:15 on a Sunday. 4 other groups in front of me and didn't get asked to play through. I walked off the course on 13, correction I drove my 1980s cart off the course after 13.

My advice to the course. - stop smoking, cut your greens, aearate your fairways, and hope no one brings a bottled water, was it as popular in the 80s?

Course was in excellent shape. It has wide fairways, plenty of hills and valleys. The signage is easy to read and understand. I recommend this course for everyone who wants to play a great course.

Golf and food staff excellent/ Course in good condition and a fun day overall

The staff here was excellent. I drove from Asheville and it was worth it. The zoyzia greens were awesome. The Asheville golf course greens have been really beat up the past two seasons..It was great to see the ball roll again.

Enjoyed a nice outing with friends. Course was challenging and the weather was beautiful. The greens were in great shap.

My son and I really liked the staff and the course. This is not a big high dollar course, but a really fun, fair course that is in real good shape. The mountainous atmosphere is really nice, as well... Greens are really in good shape and true. Play this course!!

This is a nice course...in good condition...elevation changes...

Some holes had views of the mountain which was spectacular. Overall, a great course for what we paid.

We played from the White tees and found the course to be challenging but fair. The greens were extremely hard, and we were frequently penalized for great approach shots. The greens were also very slow.
Overall we enjoyed the round and felt we got excellent value for our money.

What a great time we had at Links O Tryon! It was so great, we came back and played the next day! We will be back again soon. And we drove 75 minutes to play. That's how much we enjoyed it! Thanks to Eric and all the staff!

Course was in good shape and was not overcrowded. Love the intimidating #13 green.

Condition of the course has improved greatly. New greens are extremely slow. They show be great next year.

Greens were rough and slow due to aeration. Would.like to play again when greens are in better shape.

Drove 45 minutes and over 30 miles to the course only to be told my Golf Now purchase wouldn't be honored. They were in the process of no longer being affiliated with Golf Now and after much discourse finally gave me a few bucks off, but not the rate I had paid for on Golf Now.

Great layout, especially for high handicap golfers. Wider fairways make it forgiving. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in good conditions. Around the greens were a little rough but it appeared it was being addressed.

Nice track mixed with tough and easy holes Great course for us amateurs. Old school golf. Not all tricked out like newer courses

Great course to play. Like the layout & challenge for the variety of shots.
I have a friend that lives not too far from the course & we try to play weekly.

Everything was good. Course just keeps getting better.

Very enjoyable, course is in great shape. The bunkers have been reduced in size and makes the experience much more enjoyable. Excellent place to play.
