Fort Mill Golf Club

First of all, I have played this course many many times and I generally enjoy it despite its short comings. (poor conditions, rude starters, high greens fees, etc.) I showed up on a wet Friday morning to walk 9 holes as a single, and to my surprise they tell me there is ABSOLUTELY NO WALKING ON FRIDAYS and it has been that way for years No signage, no mention of it on their website, you are just expected to know that I guess. In my life I have never heard of such a thing, especially when its CART PATH ONLY... Also, they REFUSE TO TAKE CASH. Not even for range balls... This place was special, now it is just a bunch of snobby stuck-up staff and members. Oh, and finally 77 dollars for walking 18 on a weekday is criminal.

Out of several Charlotte area - south courses we played while visiting for the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow, I enjoyed this course the best. I knew there was something special about the front 9 layout, could not put my finger on it and then they told me it was Donald Ross - little nuances where he challenges you or gets in your head about where to aim or other golf course management decisions. Plenty of elevated greens but not too bad to walk on a not hot day. Very cool par 5 on the back that is like a snowboard half pipe with a big curve in it, almost like a tunnel in the forest. I think that is the signature hole. No real complaints and enjoyed everything, from finding the place to parking to finishing the round and everything in between. would play here again in a heartbeat. I heard the waiting list for public membership is years.

I payed for 2 players 9 holes with this Ap. The golf course charged me $30 additional dollars. I showed them my receipt. They said all I had was a reservation, I was like I paid $ 70 for a reservation? Total BS. I played this course 2 weeks before used this app and had no issues. I won’t go back. Rude employees.

Always enjoy Fort Mill golf club. Today was a beautiful day, weather was great, and the greens were lickety-split fast. Loved the overall condition of the course although the traps at times were a little bit inconsistent with sand.

The course conditions were not that good, as it had been raining for a good part of the day there were puddles in the bunkers and on greens. It was also cart path only. We were soaked and only played 9 holes. Not sure I will use golf now app again because there was no way to get a rain check at the course because I used Golf now app according to the course attendant

I had numerous occasions where someone hit into me from a different hole since the layout has a lot of the tee boxes facing the fairways and greens of the holes parallel. The greens are very fast and in nice shape. The pace of play was hit or miss. We had a group behind us growing impatient though we were waiting for a group in front of us to finish every time we arrived at the next hole. There were many people walking the course, some with their dogs and small children; they would walk across fairways while we were playing to get wherever they were going. It was a strange place to play honestly.

Not usually a survey taker, but have to commend Fort Mill today on a great experience. Greens were in mint condition, course in great shape, guys I pair up with are always friendly, and I even got my club brush back from leaving it on the range before my round. No one took it, and the kind staff guy had it for me when I checked again after my round. They even gave me a spare to use at the turn. Thumbs up!
