Always a great experience
Fort Mill is one of about a dozen courses we play regularly in the Charlotte area, but we play it more often than the others. The reason for this is that Fort Mill GC is always in good condition, plays fast, has electric carts, and a great Senior rate.
The greens are very good, fast and true. Maybe it's me, but they seem a little too hard. You seldom see a ball mark. Chips and short pitches just seem to run and run. Even a well-struck full shot will end up in the back.

Nice Course
This was my first time playing here. Super friendly staff. Good carts. Course in good condition. The layout though...confusing to say the least. Multiple holes with tee boxes next to each other and limited/lacking signage to know exactly which direction you need to be going. Nothing to do about that now that the course is designed.

First time last time
Took my father in law out for the day to get him out of the house. Took some friends with us to have a good time. We were constantly harassed by staff or “game wardens” as we started to call them. May times they would come up and say just swing and move on for the first Nine. while we were getting lunch at the BBQ tent (which was good) he’s telling us to move on down, skip the tenth and move through the eleventh hole instead of letting the group behind us just play through. What were we supposed to do swing one handed and eat at the same time? No consideration for the time as we came in at 2hrs 15 mins or quite frankly the money we spend to be there. For the course, and the way staff was with everything. I’d say we will not be coming back to this course again.

Fort Mill in Sep 2020
A beautiful Friday in Carolina today and all golfers should be out playing.
I got a GolfNow discount of $58 bucks & got paired up with Nick & Mason from Indian Trail for a 12noon tee time.
I've played this course three times in the last 2 years & today it played the best of all.
The Greens are in fantastic condition, rolling true, well manicured and just pristine.
The Tee boxes and Fairways all in excellent condition.
This course plays beautifully. The Fairways are open, there is some water but not a lot. There are several holes with green side bunkers but not intrusive to the greens.
Just a great all around experience today and I highly recommend this course, especially if you can get a GolfNow discount.

Not As Good As A Few Days Ago
Bunkers totally unplayable
Fairways showing some brown spots
Greens nice but members need to fix their ball marks
Twosome in front of us was stupid slow and never let us play through

Greens were awesome. Tee boxes were OK. Pace if play was good. No waiting at tee boxes. Good amenities. First time here and was very pleased with the overall experience.

New favorite course
The layout is fantastic. The rough is penal. The grass is lush. The greens roll true. This is our new favorite course in the area.

Fort Mill
Course was in great shape and pace of play was less than 3 1/2 hours. It lightly rained off and on until the bottom dropped out on the 17th. The course itself was as good as I’ve seen it. I wish the rain had held off another 30 minutes but it was still worth it.
