About
Wildwood Green Golf Club in northern Raleigh was designed with players of all skill levels in mind, Opened in 1986, the classic layout underwent a major renovation 10 years later that made it into a challenging but playable test that welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned pros. Generous landing areas offer some room for error off of the tee and the greens are large and inviting. There are still plenty of trees and sand traps to keep the layout interesting though. Accuracy and careful pin placement are also required to handle Wildwood Green's subtle elevation changes. The golf course finishes with one of its most difficult holes. This par 4 is a slight dogleg right with Carolina pines bordering the right edge as well as a bunker to the left. The approach is an uphill, blind shot to a deep and undulated green.

Good course, in good condition - NARROW
A lot of narrow fairways, good course. Well maintained. Greens were fast. Would say were worked within the last month.
A pleasant surprise.
Fairways were in good shape. Greens had a lot of sand on them but were still rolling. Plenty of elevation changes, some nice shade to escape the heat. While a bit short even from the Blues, it's a nice layout and still a challenge if you are not hitting straight. Lots of maintenance going on, trimming, rebuilding tee boxes, etc, but none of that interrupted our play. I look forward to walking the course during a cooler autumn day.
course was in great condition due to a tournament being out there recently, greens were lightning quick, rough was nice and thick, only thing is it has to be one of the most booked courses around it is always very very crowded and not the fastest pace of play

Wildwood Green-Overscheduled abd overplayed
I love this course and the location is very convenient but the course has its issues. On the positive, the course is tight and requires great tee shots to score well. It will definitely test your metal and improve your game. Practice facilities are good enough but a bit on the small side. The staff is friendly. As for improvements:
1-The course is constantly overbooked with a lot of very slow players. Combine those two together and you get a lot of frustrating play.
2-Course maintenance is average. The greens look like the equipment is leaking fluids and leaving burn marks everywhere. Rough is sloppy.
3-Hitting balls at the range could be much easier if you didn’t have to go to the clubhouse first.
