About
Wildwood Green Golf Club in northern Raleigh was designed with players of all skill levels in mind, Opened in 1986, the classic layout underwent a major renovation 10 years later that made it into a challenging but playable test that welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned pros. Generous landing areas offer some room for error off of the tee and the greens are large and inviting. There are still plenty of trees and sand traps to keep the layout interesting though. Accuracy and careful pin placement are also required to handle Wildwood Green's subtle elevation changes. The golf course finishes with one of its most difficult holes. This par 4 is a slight dogleg right with Carolina pines bordering the right edge as well as a bunker to the left. The approach is an uphill, blind shot to a deep and undulated green.

good little course....will definitely play again and again.
Great Experience !!
Positives
1. Very Friendly Pro-shop staff. Very kind and accommodating.
2. Rental Sets - Exceptional. They provided me with the APEX Ai2000 in almost - new condition along with the Ai Smoke Woods / Drivers and an almost new Odyssey Putter.
3. The course layout is challenging and inviting at the same time. It allows for long hitting but relies more on your second / third shot shaping.
The only area of improvement would be the lack of on-course refreshments and a larger locker room to change in.
Overall - I had a fantastic experience, major credit of which goes to the staff friendliness.

Always love this course. Reasonable length for recreational golfers. Like the challenges over the water.

+ Top Class customer service by everyone in the Pro Shop and Driving Range. Very kind and patient.
+ Great Course layout that tests not only the long game but also shot shaping with multiple dog leg holes.
+ Slick Greens. True Reads and Fast.
- For a Monday Noon we were held up on multiple holes. But, this could be due to the holiday season.
Overall: A must play. Due to the winters the grass is brownish currently but that does not impact ball striking. Big shout out to the gentleman behind the pro-shop. Thank You !!
Course is under maintenance
Hole 7 is closed, hole 8 is shortened to par 3. Lot of other holes bunkers were under maintenance. Other than that nice course.

Golf course was in excellent shape with greens rolling smoothly. Been years since I played there so looking forward to going back again.
Still wet
Greens are in great shape. Fairways still water logged but that will dry out soon. Great value.
Great condition
This courses in great condition going into the fall. Greens have sped up a lot lately
Layout is very challenging so don’t let the yardage fool you with this par 70
Good course, in good condition - NARROW
A lot of narrow fairways, good course. Well maintained. Greens were fast. Would say were worked within the last month.
A pleasant surprise.
Fairways were in good shape. Greens had a lot of sand on them but were still rolling. Plenty of elevation changes, some nice shade to escape the heat. While a bit short even from the Blues, it's a nice layout and still a challenge if you are not hitting straight. Lots of maintenance going on, trimming, rebuilding tee boxes, etc, but none of that interrupted our play. I look forward to walking the course during a cooler autumn day.
