February golf
Always enjoy playing this course. It was a long 6100 yds. Condition was only average as they seem to be getting ready for the spring but greens are very challenging. U feel good making a five footer. Overall very challenging for even good golfers.
Excellent Value
My expectations were low for the price I paid, but I was very impressed with the layout and terrain. The greens rolled like a country club and were in fantastic shape. This course will only get better as the new ownership invests energy into it, I will be back!
Best Greens in the Upstate
I played this course a few years ago and it has improved drastically. I was amazed at the condition of the greens. I would put these up against any in the area. They should fire their super so he can go run a course the tour plays. Great atmosphere at the grill and good food. Par 3s from the tips are a real challenge. Hit good shots and this is a super fun course, really enjoyed it. Did I mention the greens?
Unorganized
I had a t-time and didn't start until 2:45. It seemed as though nobody was in charge. The girl from the pro shop ended up coming out to let me know what was going on. The people I was supposed to players with decided to play with someone else without being held accountable. It was even suggested that I become fifth person with a foursome. Very unorganized.
Best it has been in many years
I have played here for around 25 years. This is the best condition the course has ever been. The only complaint is the cart path condition.
Great course for the money!
This was our first time playing here, but we will return. We drove about 70 miles to play here and it was well worth it. I got it on a hot deal and that made it even better. On the way down, there was an accident with a 7 mile back up. We called the course and told them we'd be late. They were very accommodating and told us not to worry, they'd work us in when we got there, and ever give us range time to warm up. The course is very hilly and I would not want to play here if it was a cart path only day. The green were as good as any I've played all year. Very smooth and fast with lots of undulations. You really need a range finder or Sky Caddie to play here because the elevation changes really influence the club selection. Go play it, you'll like it!
Met new golf buddy
Had a great day playing golf. Got the chance to meet a new golf bud. Course was in much better shape this time compared to the last time I played there
Course has a lot of elevation changes
Interesting course, a lot of elevation changes, fairways where in great shape as well as the greens.
Fun course
Legacy Pines is a fun course to play. 1st time around the course can leave you guessing, but it is a fair challenge. Greens were in fantastic shape, rolled true and great speed. Fairways were also in great shape, with very few dead spots. I would love to get another crack at this course, as there are a few holes where blind shots come into play. Overall, this course is in great shape and the price is right. Had a great time playing this hidden gem just south of Greenville. I highly recommend playing.
Not for the pasture hitters
This course offers a great game of golf. Each hole offers unique and great terrain challenges with greens that are well taken care of and challenging in their own right. Beginners would find this course a little irritating and stressful. If you can keep it flying straight and really enjoy the challenge of a course that is not a flat field then give this one a shot, I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
Challenging Course
Nice course with large variety of holes. There is a lot of elevation and a lot of severe doglegs. I would not recommend trying to walk this course as some of the elevations are pretty severe. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape.
Much Improved!
Used to play here 10yrs and quit because it was in such terrible shape. Yesterday was my 3rd visit in 2 weeks. Great value for the money!
Course in great shape
The course fairways and greens are great. Pace of play was excellent.
A fun course in very nice condition.
This was the first I have played this course and I was pleasantly surprised!!! Conditions were good and it was a fun layout for a relaxing round of golf! Very good value with hot deals rate! I would definitely recommend playing this course.
Great deal - course is in really nice shape
Played here as a twosome on Wednesday with an early afternoon hot deals tee time. Course was not very crowded and we played our entire round in 3 hrs without being held up. The course overall is in good shape. Greens were in good shape - rolled true and with no dead or bare spots. As other user mentioned, there are a few areas marked GIR for course work but most are not in high traffic areas of course. I did not have any bare or very tight lies from fairways or areas near the greens. The par 3s are a definite challenge! I personally do not care for a few of the par 5 layouts but that should not take away from the course. Enjoyed the round and for the price, this was a steal!
Ok course
Greens in good condition. A few ground under repair areas
Nice place to golf
Weather was hot and dry, but the course was in great shape, greens were fast, and for a holiday, the pace was perfect. Hardly had to wait at all, and were finished in less than 4 hours. Plenty of water coolers on the course, plus the beverage cart came around at least 4 times. Would definitely play this course again.
Nice "out of the way" little track
Though a bit off the beaten path, this little course is really fun to play and offers enough challenge for every level of golfer. It is short, but that doesn't mean it is easy. It has some of the longest Par 3's around, when you add them up, and that offsets some of the Par 5's. There is only one hole on the course that I feel needs some re-working and it is the second Par 5 on the back, # 13, I think. And honestly, if you play the course 3 or 4 times, it may not be that atrocious. But to me, it needed some help. That said, I will not hesitate to play this course again and even, again and again. The sand traps probably could use some fresh sand, but other than that, they do a pretty nice job of keeping this course playable and affordable. Like, like like!
Tough par 5's
We were skeptical when we couldn't find the bag drop, but once we teed off we were pleasantly surprised. The fairways were in excellent shape and the greens were fast and true and rolled perfectly. We teed off behind a foursome but after the first hole they let us play through (we were a twosome) and we finished the round in 3 and a half hours. Beautiful day we would come back.
Hit & Wait
I like to start out by saying that this is one off the nice's courses in the upstate. There greens are some of the best, they roll so true. With not a lot of home or roads around it,it so quite and peaceful. Now the biggest problem with this course along with ever course across the public course is the Pace of Play. My group had to wait at least 7 to 10 minutes at each hole and sometimes longer.I understand that on a Saturday your going to get every kind of golfer out their but that why they need MARSHAL on the weekends.
